  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

How many times have you read Jane Eyre and Pride and Prejudice?
Have you seen any of the movies they've made based on those books?

Oh gosh...I've read both of them at least a half a dozen times...and counting. :p

I've seen the '96 version of Jane Eyre...and I saw the '95 version of P&P.

Both were pretty much dead on with the books and both are my absolute favourites. I really dunno if I'd wanna watch any other versions.

Besides...who wouldn't wanna see Colin Firth as Mr Darcy? Oh lala! :swoon: ... :D

I think I've seen those versions of the movies as well. I saw the Pride and Prejudice one again a couple months ago. It was quite entertaining. :)

Have you read any other books by Jane Austen?

Oh, yes! I've read 'Sense and Sensibility', 'Persuasion', 'Emma', 'Northanger Abbey' and part of 'Mansfield Park'.

What in the world is that? :D

It's actually suppose to be crème brûlée (I dunno the codes for all them accents and all...I just copied/pasted). 'Tis a French dish; a rich custard with caramelized sugar on top. Crème brûlée literally means 'scorched cream'...the way it's made, you sprinkle the sugar on top and literally blowtorch the sugar until it's brown. Makes a nice, crispy top...'tis fantabulous combined with the rich custard underneath! ^_^
