Want meal ideas?:yum: If we all just list what we ate or made for our most recent family meal, we'll add to our post count. Plus, we can return here to get meal ideas from everyone else's posts!

No recipes necessary, unless you want to list them.

I'll go first on the next post.

Today probably isn't the best day to post Andrea's meal plan, but here goes!! :holy:

Breakfast was a banana that she dipped in peanut butter, milk to drink.

Lunch was burger & fries from McDonald's, milk to drink. :sorry:

Dinner is (I think) going to be spaghetti & meatballs, fresh watermelon for dessert.

For supper, reheating 4th of July leftovers....

Fried chicken, corn on the cob, bluberries and apricots, steammed garden peas, whole grain rolls and leftover bad-for-us brownies and rice-crispy bars.

Oh, got milk too!

For lunch today I had a half of a whole grain bagel with organic peanut butter, 1 small chicken breast grilled (boneless/skinless) and for dessert I had a cup of blueberries with 1/2 small container of fat free vanilla bean yogurt.

For supper, we had taco bell :sorry:

Also what do Americans mean by supper?

In Australia, we have breakfast, lunch and dinner. Supper I guess is what we have as a snack before bed, that's what I've always thought it as.

Americans can even mix up Americans on that one:doh: .

Breakfast...is of course breakfast.

Lunch can also be called dinner in some places.

And your dinner....our supper....is sometimes referred to as dinner here as well.

Someone once told me that "dinner" is the largest meal of the day....well, not everyone follows that here either.

Here a snack before bed here, is not called a supper, just a snack (or an evening snack, or before bedtime snack).

Hope that helped!

(we'll have to go down the "soda" "pop" "coke" "cola" road sometime too!)^_^

For breakfast today, it's just cereal and milk, bananas or grapes. Because it is the beginning of the weekend, I allow a "Fun" cereal for the kids today...a sugared cereal. We eat whole grain stuff on the weekdays.

Anyone notice it's hard to find healthy cereals that dont have added sugar, are high in fiber and the kids still like it? Didn't Cheerios used to be no sugar?!?!?! And mostly made of oats? It isn't anymore!
