Dinner tonight is chicken nuggets, and sausage rolls.

I have made them myself, using cooked and leftover savoury mince wrapped in puff pastry.

Being Saturday night we have some more junky stuff than I like to have on weeknights.

That sounds really good to me right now!

Americans can even mix up Americans on that one:doh: .

Breakfast...is of course breakfast.

Lunch can also be called dinner in some places.

And your dinner....our supper....is sometimes referred to as dinner here as well.

Someone once told me that "dinner" is the largest meal of the day....well, not everyone follows that here either.

Here a snack before bed here, is not called a supper, just a snack (or an evening snack, or before bedtime snack).

Hope that helped!

(we'll have to go down the "soda" "pop" "coke" "cola" road sometime too!)^_^

For breakfast today, it's just cereal and milk, bananas or grapes. Because it is the beginning of the weekend, I allow a "Fun" cereal for the kids today...a sugared cereal. We eat whole grain stuff on the weekdays.

Anyone notice it's hard to find healthy cereals that dont have added sugar, are high in fiber and the kids still like it? Didn't Cheerios used to be no sugar?!?!?! And mostly made of oats? It isn't anymore!

Thanks for clearing that up.

In Australia we call Soda/pop etc. Fizzy drink. (unless it has a specific name like Coke, Lemonade etc.) but the basic name is just fizzy drink. Why? because it's fizzy lol.

I think I'd like to take that on here. It sure would stop a lot of confusion. I was raised calling it Pop....but I know so many people who call it soda. To me, soda is something you use to bake with, whiten your laundry with, and as an antacid. BAKING SODA!

Fizzy drink. Definitely a smart idea!

I hate to do this, but I do have to go soon. It's 2:34 a.m. my time. I couldn't sleep. Doesn't happen often, but just too much on my mind. I have to bring the dog to the vet in the moring, so I need to go try to sleep again.

Thanks for making me smile, and getting my mind off of things and onto fun food!

Will I also write down what we eat!?!:)

I have a very picky boy here:swoon: . We have only few things to go sure on...
1. stirabout with milk and some honey
2. potatoes with minced meat-sourcreamsauce
3. meatball soup (with potatoes, carrots, some onion and rice in and we add souercream before eating)

So if I want to be sure my boy eats, I do one of these three. Sometimes he askes stirabout for the dinner!!!

I am still lucky woman... my daughter Rebeka and husband eat everyting I cook:) . I patiently direct Trevor to try new things.

Our yesterday:
Breakfast: Trevor- cookie-cake they made with dad- coocies-soaked-in-juice layers mixed with cottage cheese (not so bad, but is not the real food!!!, but I am disarmed while Trevor knows we have it)
Rebeka- cottage cheese with strawberries
Lunch- potatoes with mincedmeat-sourcreamsauce and fresh tomatoes, we had also some fresh leek on.
Dinner- warm milk soup with groats (added some honey and butter for kids)- this was my favorite food as I was child and I did this first time. During that pregnancy I got some interesting appetites:) . Rebeka liked this, Trevor did eat this really much... 6 spoons!!! We also ate lots of strawberries in the evening (we have no allergie).

We ate late breakfast this morning- the milk soup from the evening (Trevor ate 7 spoons!!!) and sandwiches with chees (Trevor ate one! ). Now I try to find an idea for lunch which is our main mealtime. I think I will do mannacream for the dinner (cook as usual cream of wheat, but in apple, cherrie, red- or blackcurrant juice, when its cold, will be whipped, I add some sugar and fresh berries and pour milk on for eating). I do not do it very often, but both children love this!

last night for dinner we had beef and avocado wraps...whole wheat wraps, lettuce, tomatoes, skim mozerella cheese, dijon mustard, red pepper, and of course the beef and avocado slices!! yum! :yum:

My boys didn't want that, so they had fish sticks and smiley faces (potato), with carrots and black olives. They love black olives!
