What you wrote Nomad was not prophecy.
The gift of prophecy became unnecessary when God's Word was completed. When the apostles were alive and writting the Word, it was inspired by God and was revealed to them by God. But the Bible has been completed.
1 Corinthians 13:8-11 "Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away."
Here Paul is saying that prophecies, tongues and knowledge shall be put away, they will no longer happen. What does knowledge mean here? It means that new knowledge of God that is revealed by visions, dreams, and prophecy. These being revelatory gifts. It says that when that which is perfect is come being the Word of the Lord, that that which is in part shall be done away with. The Word of the Lord is completed, the Bible is completed, the time has passed on these things.
Revelation 22:18-21 "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen."
The Bible is very specific here that first, we are not to add to this book or to take away from this book. Notice it says that the Bible is a book of prophecy, that was the means in which it was given. This are the last verses of the Bible, these are the last words of prophecy that God has given man. The Bible is complete, it is finished.
Revelation 21:5-6 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
It is finished, it is done. God's revelation to man is completed. God said it Himself, it is done, there is no more to be written. There is only one Word and that is the one which has been written. There is no new word, there is no new prophecy, the Word is complete and these things have passed away. Since Revelation is the culmination of all prophecy given by God to man, we have no need for any new additional prophecy. What needs to be done is to study the Word as it was given by God.
