Anyone claiming to be a prophet after the book of Revelation was written in AD 96 is making a false claim.

Charity is a wonderful thing but it is sufficient to effectively tackle all of the issues. We need to have a structured societal support system to prevent people from falling through the cracks and to give them a leg up when they do.

Yes. Society as a whole needs to provide for the needy, same as with the Israelites.
