  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

This is not a dream, but this seemed the most appropriate place to ask this question. Yesterday we heard this loud crack of what sounded like thunder, and then I heard what sounded like rain, but when my husband came into the office he said, "Did you know it was snowing outside?" We live in SC, so we don't get much snow, so when it snows it is eventful. There was snow in my dream this morning, which I will get to later, but it just seemed odd to me that there was this loud crack of what sounded like very loud thunder right before the snow began to dump. I just wanted to know if anyone else here had experienced anything like this or had heard of such a thing or even had dreamed of such a thing.

That's interesting. Of course it may just be a weather anomaly as things in these days are changing at such a fast pace on the earth. Apparently this phenomenon is called "thundersnow" Thundersnow - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia <== click

Symbolically speaking however, thunder often represents the voice of God or a 'message' from the Lord.. The message being the snow = Snow can often symbolize something refreshing when it is coming down light & fluffy, or can symbolize a mantle which is falling. In the negative, snow can symbolize an element that increases difficulty, loneliness, or a cold spiritual climate. Of course these thoughts are not exhaustive.
I've often had the Lord give me messages thru real life situations.. For instance, one day He was directing me to drive to a certain place - It was urgently important I get there & He literally was telling me which roads to take as I had no idea where I was going (HE knew though).. it was a huge "faith thing" which tested my discernment in a large way. I took a wrong turn and He made my GPS fall off the dashboard twice (the #2 is often symbolic for division/separation) and so I knew I had gone the wrong way. I would've loved to see the angel in my car who was knocking that thing off! ha! Oh how exciting HE is. Anyway, He got me to this person's house by using signs & wonders to get me there - One day I will tell that story in full... amazing.
All that to illustrate that you may be onto something in that Father may well be speaking to you through the weather. He is amazing and speaks in so many different ways. It's a shame when people try to limit Him.

Thank you everyone. I do know that God gives many of us dreams about weather and many have done research on weather here, so that is why I asked among you. It just seemed odd that there was just one loud crack of thunder and then the snow dumped straight down and then sideways. I just don't remember that ever happening before.

Oh, I did Google this, which is how I came up with the title "thundersnow," and I read part of one article where it said that a weatherman created the name "thundersnow" when a huge snow followed one loud crack of thunder, but it turned out to be a transformer that had popped right before the snow dumped, so I thought there could be other reasons for the loud crack.

God speaks to me in many ways, too, and he speaks through my normal every day circumstances, as well, and uses real life situations as allegories, much like he does dreams, so I don't discount the idea that he might be speaking, because the Bible teaches that the mountains will burst into song and the trees clap their hands and that all creation will declare the praises of God and if we keep our voices silent all creation will rise and shout, and especially since it was just one loud crack of thunder and then the snow dumped.

Glory! This really impacted my spirit.
May He increase His hand in your life, and the giftings He's placed within you in a marvellous way sister

We had a massive blizzard in Boston a week back or so. We had over 30 inches of snow and winds up to 70 miles an hour, and high tides. There were reports of thunder claps, but it is not common, it is rarity to have thunder during a major snow storm.
