The answer is there. No sense in anyone telling you. ByeNothing related to my question.
Do you want to try to answer it?
I'm not asking why, I'm asking what. As in what laws in the Torah are still supposed to be obeyed? I know I'll get a precise answer to that regarding the laws of which animals are clean and unclean to eat. But what about the rest of the laws in the Torah that are still supposed to be kept? What are they?Amen. The Problem for most is that they have not the faith. When told to leave their country and family they will ask why. When told they must sacrifice themselves in sacrificing there only son they will ask why. In asking they will ask themselves why out of doing what God intended. We ask why as if we need to understand before doing. We are to do as the Spirit leads. Not ask why or come up with excuses not to. That is not faith.
That post was not to you. The what is in the post that was addressed to you.I'm not asking why, I'm asking what. As in what laws in the Torah are still supposed to be obeyed? It's a very odd situation. Those who want to discuss keeping only part of the law are unwilling to say which laws are to be kept.
What does Deut. 30:10-14, and Paul's paraphrase of it Rom 10:6-8 say? Therein you will find what you seek.So all of the individual laws given by God to follow as written in Leviticus 11-19 must be obeyed, correct?
So far I've only seen evasive non-answers.That post was not to you. The what is in the post that was addressed to you.
Would you be willing to say where the scripture passages are found that contain the instructions from the Old Testament that we are to keep today? If you ask what the sense would be, the answer is that "all scripture... is beneficial."No what is odd is, it has been told. And God has shown. Yet they will not see and won't.
So What does Duet 30:10-14, and Paul's paraphrase of it in Rom 10:6-8 say. In it is the answer.
Deuteronomy 30:10-14 is in regard to all the the laws in the Torah God wants obeyed. Romans 10:6-8 is about faith in Christ. What does Deut. 30:10-14, and Paul's paraphrase of it Rom 10:6-8 say? Therein you will find what you seek.
On the other hand, If you can't see why should you be told? Are you not here telling others they are wrong. If ordained as a teacher surly one can see.Deuteronomy 30:10-14 is in regard to all the the laws in the Torah God wants obeyed. Romans 10:6-8 is about faith in Christ.
If you can't answer the question of what laws in the Torah still must be obeyed, just be honest and admit that you do not know.
Hi HIM,On the other hand, If you can't see why should you be told?
It's obvious that you don't know the answer. And furthermore it's obvious that's because there is no answer. That's what I did see ahead of time when I asked. Which is the reason why I asked. On the other hand, If you can't see why should you be told? Are you not here telling others they are wrong. If ordained as a teacher surly one can see.
I can't help but take notice of the fact that if asked about keeping the Sabbath or eating a porkchop, there's not shortage of answers and teaching.Would you be willing to say where the scripture passages are found that contain the instructions from the Old Testament that we are to keep today? If you ask what the sense would be, the answer is that "all scripture... is beneficial."
Would you be willing to take some specific scripture passages and show how this process that you advocate applies?
_____________
Edit: Don't mean the above to sound harsh. Just saying, "You give details, plz."
Subjective Conjecture.. What does Deut30 say? Why did Paul paraphrase it? What does it say in Deut29:1 in respect to 30:10-14?It's obvious that you don't know the answer. And furthermore it's obvious that's because there is no answer. That's what I did see ahead of time when I asked. Which is the reason why I asked.
We can't help but notice Deut 30:10-14 and Paul paraphrasing it and how important 29:1 in Deut is in answering.I can't help but take notice of the fact that if asked about keeping the Sabbath or eating a porkchop, there's not shortage of answers and teaching.
But suddenly with this question it's, "The answer is there. No sense in anyone telling you. Bye"
What does it say in Deut 30:10-14 in respect to what is in the heart and mouth that we do it?? That is your answer.Hi HIM,
I understand you asked that of someone else, but if you were to ask me, my response would be Because this is a discussion forum. Discussing specific laws is a good way to show how a process works.
Brainstorm: Leviticus 19 has lots of interesting laws. How about taking the process that you advocate and showing how it applies to each instruction there?
Bible Gateway passage: Leviticus 19:1-3 - New American Standard Bible
Idolatry Forbidden - Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying: “Speak to all the congregation of the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘You shall be holy, for I the LORD your God am holy. Every one of you shall revere his mother and his father, and you shall keep My Sabbaths; I am the LORD your God.www.biblegateway.com
And peace be with you,
my man!
Yep, and there's also circularity with the reasoning:I can't help but take notice of the fact that if asked about keeping the Sabbath or eating a porkchop, there's not shortage of answers and teaching.
But suddenly with this question it's, "The answer is there. No sense in anyone telling you. Bye"
Here's the part about heart and mouth:What does it say in Deut 30:10-14 in respect to what is in the heart and mouth that we do it?? That is your answer.
I agree! When discussing the theory of law keeping, the discussion can go round and round. I think it would be great if you would do a demonstration, pick some instructions from the law of Moses and show us how the process you're talking about works on those instructions. And we are not here to go round and round. What one might call a discussion.
Then the answer to 'which laws in the Torah still need to be followed?' is all of them, because that's what Deut 29:1 and 30:10-14 are about - all of the laws given/repeated in Deuteronomy prior to chapters 29-30. So all you had to say is "all of them".We can't help but notice Deut 30:10-14 and Paul paraphrasing it and how important 29:1 in Deut is in answering.
