LOL! I agree! I had no idea these atrocities were available at Christmas time.

Have you heard of the sport of microwaving peeps, though? I haven't tried it yet, but think it would give some real purpose to their being created. BLOW THEM UP! WAHAHAHAHAAA!

Everything is prepped for the beer cheee soup. All my baking is done. I have the ingredients for the breakfast casserole prepped. Clothes are laid out for service tonight. Yes, we're all coordinating.

I have the house open (beautiful 60* out) and candles lit. The Christmas music will get turned on when the bebe wakes up later. My parents are stopping by around 4.

My grandma joined us for Christmas today. Gramps brought her over from the private home she's been in since summertime. She was pretty with it (she has dementia) - which was awesome, but it made me sad overall. The dementia worsened quickly due to medication she was given so we lost precious time with her and I wish we could get some of it back. I miss how she used to be. She did love the pizzelles I made with her pizzelle maker, though.

It's still snowing here in NC! Had to dig my car out and drive in to work from nearby hotel. Fun! And it's really windy. I have done snow before but not snow and wind! Yeah my little hoodie wasn't cutting it for keeping the cold off my head. I needed a scarf big time.

I'd much rather be still in bed and wake up later on to a cuppa hot chocolate.

One plus is I have a giant window in front of me and the view is amazing.

I am loving our rain today. Haven't seen much of it in the past couple months. It was a nasty drive getting into work, but now that I'm here I don't care if it rains for the rest of the day. (as long as it stops before my drive home that is. lol)

Well, school traffic is usually bad anyway, but rainy days always makes it worse. But yeah, we definitely need the rain here, too. I think it's a front that is bringing more cool weather.

If y'all are getting the front that we are having now....look out...I have never been so cold in my life. (Don't hate on me...those of you from the north)...but we had a high of 42 yesterday...and never even saw the sun. I would buy a sun lamp to sit under if that kept up.

It's in the mid-60s here right now. Much cooler than that and I will have to turn the heat on tonight.

Us people from the tropical places just aren't meant to withstand cold weather.
