Thought you guys might want to know

I don’t know if anybody here has heard about the wildfire burning in Northern California but it’s become the largest arson fire in state history.

I have an app on my phone that alerts me to all the evacuation notices law enforcement are issuing. This thing is in four counties now, and one area I noticed they were issuing evac orders for was Manton, CA where I happen to know is the OCA Monastery of Saint John of San Francisco, and I did confirm that their location is under an evacuation order.

I thought you guys might want to know about that so we could all pray for everyone’s safety and protection and hope the monastery itself is also spared.

I’ve already seen God spare one Christian site from this fire and I believe if it’s his will he’d do the same for this one.

God of wind and flame, extinguish the fires engulfing land, communities, and homes.

The wild fires are still really bad in California. So bad that the wind drifts the ash all over the state. Im nowhere near these fires and yet our air is heavy and awful. Many alert days for air…plus it’s 100-110° here…

Lord, have mercy! We were in the San Diego area July 15-20, but there wasn't any smoke or the like then. I assume the wildfires started after we left on the 20th. God be with the firefighters and people in the vicinity of the fires!
