Nothing I hope lol cause I sure am. I am 6'2 and large build but I get really small and very pathetic when I get around a snake .What's wrong with bein' afraid o' snakes?

I remember going to the outhouse and there was an old black snake that stayed around there and grandpa said do not kill it cause it catches mice. But it almost killed me of fright a couple of times when I opened the door and it fell down in my face.

Yes it did. I hated that outhouse and am so glad to have indoor plumbing now. lol

Hi southernscotty,
Beautiful knock-outs. I have a line of knock-outs (all red also) running about 40' along the roadway in front of my house and they are just chock a bloc full of blooms. I'm waiting on the hibiscus to come out along the side that I put in as divider between my neighbor and I a few years ago. They have such beautiful big blooms when they are out but they don't come in until later in the summer. They have all started their new growth, but it will be a while before they set buds. I did lose one of my star magnolia tree/bushes and I'm attempting to air layer a new start from one of the others. I've never done air layering before, but I looked it up on you-tube and it seems like a pretty easy process. I'll know in a couple of months. I also put out about $60 worth of annuals along the drive and front walkway that are coming along nicely. Marigolds, petunias and begonias with some coleus as a background plant along the front porch.
This is my favorite time of year when I'm reminded every day of the beauty that God gave us to enjoy among the flora of the earth.

Nice.
I never grew anything but wild roses. Loved them, made small roses and I ended up having you get them out, they took over.
This was on property I dug a pond on just to get the land high enough to live on so the water table 3 to 6ft down all depending on rainfall, and with the virgin soil, everything grew great....the roses, too great.

Nice flowers! But, hmmm, there's something missing. Oh yes. There are no LILACS! What gives? lol But I have a red hummingbird feeder just like yours. Which reminds me, it's time to get to filling them up!

Yeah, ours were here when we bought the house too. I would be devastated if we ever had to get rid of them because they are a bit close to the ditch/road. Thinking of propagating some elsewhere in the yard yet.
