  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Thought I could do this on my own, but now I know I can't and need prayers

Sorry I've been MIA. My kids have all been sick for the last two weeks. They've had a viral infection and I just found out today that my oldest daughter, Julia, who's five, has an enlarged heart that they found on an xray that they took at the E.R., but didn't even bother telling us about it. Also my middle daughter, Isabella is starting to come down with pneumonia, which I am waiting for the nebulizer to arrive at my house now and my youngest son, Andrew, is severely dehydrated. I think we reached our climax with Sophia earlier this week with stridor and severe dehydration and my oldest seems to be perfectly fine. I'm starting to realize I can't handle this on my own and seriously need God's help right now, I'm especially worried about Julia's heart and I can't imagine having to take her out of gymnastics because that is her absolute most favorite thing to do. Hopefully it's just because the way she was lying, as her doctor says, but we go to the cardiologist on the 30th.
