This is something we all need reminders on. No matter what God's children do, no matter where they are in life, no matter how they live their lives, If Jesus died for you, you ARE saved! Finally and eternally.

Jesus died for his sheep (John 10:11) and not one of his sheep will be lost (John 6:39-40). You are eternally bought with a price! So go and serve your king! No service to Jesus is too small and no service to Jesus isn't already predetermined in advance (Ephesians 2:10)

Remember salvation is not of yourselves but it is the gift of God (Ephesians 2:8) an

So since Jesus died for you it always results in salvation and nothing you do can be outside of the will of God because God predestined all things (Psalm 139:16 & Proverbs 16:9)

So remember not only are you saved, not only does God prepare your works for you to do and therefore the rewards for your good works but he also makes sure that every child of God is free from the schemes of the devil (2 Thessalonians 3:3). Nothing you do or can do can be outside of the will of God because God determines everything. We as Christians follow God not as robots but as totally willing and totally blissful situations.

Yes, I'm unashamedly OSAS. Paul says something interesting here, and I hope I have it right?:

1 Cor 15.22 For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.

This sounds very much as if Christ not only died for those who would be saved, but he also died to reconcile the things that will not be saved. In other words, God restores all of His creation, including those who will be lost. He restores the lost by raising them up in a way that they can no longer commit sins, and yet will continue to live on, serving God in some diminished capacity.

On the other hand, the Saved will be raised up to serve God in God's presence, blessed in His eternal Kingdom. Those who served God faithfully, of course, will experience the greater joy of having been a faithful servant. Those called to be God's children, who fall into sin regularly, will be saved, though as through the fire. They will have their shame washed away, but they will experience the loss of the rewards of faithful living.

This is pretty speculative. I'm just sharing my thoughts....

Augustine:

Augustine (354-430): Of such says the apostle, “We know that to those that love God He worketh together all things for good, to them who are called according to His purpose; because those whom He before foreknew, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the first-born among many brethren. Moreover, whom He did predestinate, them He also called; and whom He called, them He also justified; and whom He justified, them He also glorified.” Of these no one perishes, because all are elected. And they are elected because they were called according to the purpose — the purpose, however, not their own, but God’s; of which He elsewhere says, “That the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of Him that calleth, it was said unto her that the elder shall serve the younger.” And in another place he says, “Not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace.” When, therefore, we hear,” Moreover, whom He did predestinate, them He also called,” we ought to acknowledge that they were called according to His purpose; since He thence began, saying, “He worketh together all things for good to those who are called according to His purpose,” and then added, “Because those whom He before foreknew, He also did predestinate, to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the first-born among many brethren And to these promises He added, “Moreover, whom, He did predestinate, them He also called.” He wishes these, therefore, to be understood whom He called according to His purpose, lest any among them should be thought to be called and not elected, on account of that sentence of the Lord’s: “Many the called but few are elected.” For whoever are elected are without doubt also called; but not whosoever are called are as a consequence elected. Those, then, are elected, as has often been said, who are called according to the purpose, who also are predestinated and foreknown. If any one of these perishes, God is mistaken; but none of them perishes, because God is not mistaken. If any one of these perish, God is overcome by human sin; but none of them perishes, because God is overcome by nothing. Moreover, they are elected to reign with Christ, not as Judas was elected, to a work for which he was fitted. Because he was chosen by Him who well knew how to make use even of wicked men, so that even by his damnable deed that venerable work, for the sake of which He Himself had come, might be accomplished. When, therefore, we hear, “Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?” we ought to understand that the rest were elected by mercy, but he by judgment; those to obtain His kingdom, he to shed His blood! What about Judas Iscariot?
God's predetermining all things put Judas into God's 'will' as decree, not as command. Judas was not obedient to God's command. Judas' will was contrary to God, yet Judas did exactly what God intended he do, just as those did who put Jesus to death (Acts 2: 23, Acts 4:27, 28).

What Judas did was not an accident, nor a mistake on God's part.

I used to be one that thought you could "lose your salvation," which tends to abound in some Pentecostal and Charismatic circles, and even Messianic.
However, I believe the LORD showed me the error there, because it mainly detracts from God's sovereignty and the pleasure of His will as the Scriptures say.

Going back further than Augustine, there was Clement (150-218) who wrote,
"“Let us, therefore, approach him in holiness of soul, lifting up to him pure and undefiled hands, loving our gentle and compassionate Father who made us his own chosen portion"

"For he has given us the light; as a father he has called us children; he saved us when we were perishing. What praise, then, shall we give him, or what repayment in return for what we received? Our minds were blinded, and we worshiped stones and wood and gold and silver and brass, things made by humans; indeed, our whole life was nothing but death. So while we were thus wrapped in darkness and our vision was filled with this thick mist we recovered our sight, by his will laying aside the cloud wrapped around us. For he had mercy upon us and in his compassion he saved us when we had no hope of salvation except that which comes from him, even though he had seen in us much deception and destruction. For he called us when we did not exist, and out of nothing he willed us into being” (1:4-8)."

Ignatius, first - second century,
"Ignatius... to the church at Ephesus in Asia, blessed with greatness through the fullness of God the Father, predestined before the ages for lasting and unchangeable glory forever, united and elect through genuine suffering by the will of the Father and of Jesus Christ our God.."

But I absolutely believe also in the perseverance of the saints, because if you don't bear fruit, or you continue in sin, you have not seen Him or known Him according to both Jesus in Matthew, and John in 1 John. Those who do not persevere are as those who received the seed of the Word on stony ground or rock, who for awhile believe but in time of temptation fall away. (Luke 8:13)

"They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away."
