I don't think loving money is necessarily evil. I think it is the root of all evil, meaning it is the cause of all evil. But as long as you don't make money an idol before God I don't think there is a problem.

Yeah that Is what I meant. I knew I was missing something in there lol

Everything you accused them off sounds like smart living and being frugal. Your saying because a wealthy person doesn't have to think twice before wopping out 20g that he worships money less? And people should take any Job and not care about the yearly salary? People have to figure what house or apt will fit into their budget. That's life.

I do not live paycheck to paycheck anymore. Why? Because I pray and try to make the best use of what I receive for my wife and I.
What you call smart living and being frugal, sounds like worshipping money to me. we should all get jobs that make us happy and not think about the money at all. God supplies all our needs, so we dont have to worry about that. I dont live paycheck to paycheck either.....because God supplies all my needs....not because how good I can manage money.

I find no fault in anything you say. I just want people to note how much more a person with less means think about money than the person who knows they can buy whatever they want.....when we talk about the love of money. Being rich does not equal loving money.

When our wives say, "we need a new car!" we all check with our masters. Some check the bank account and money....while other go to God and ask Him to give them what they need......and He always does.....

Okay, that's a good start (perhaps).

Next is , how to be obedient to God, and keep oneself unstainded by the world.
Likewise, how to avoid idols.

There's directions in God's Word towards this end >

(1) Do not store up treasure on earth, .....

(2) Because wherever your treasure is, there will your heart be also....

I don't think Jesus was commanding us not to make any money when He said that. I personally believe in the context He was saying this, He was basically telling us to keep our priorities straight. To store up treasure in heaven rather than on earth. Which if you put God first above all things you are storing treasure in heaven. And if you put God FIRST, then you have no idols over Him. I don't think that its necessarily wrong to store up treasures on earth. I just think our focus needs to be on God first, then if we have time left over then we can get earthly treasures. The main thing He was saying is that this earthly treasure wont last an eternity, but the heavenly treasure will.
So don't focus on earthly things that pass away, focus on what lasts forever. Imagine a world where no Christians have any money. No money to tithe to churches, no money to help the poor. I don't want to live in a world like that. I think some people are called to be wealthy to be a blessing to others in one way or another. Wealth can be a positive thing if it is put to use to further the cause of Christ or to make the world a better place. But it can also be a negative thing if wealth causes a person to have vices such as women, drugs, etc. The bible says that it is harder for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven then for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, but it also says, BUT WITH GOD all things are possible.

He did say never worry about it, and , well, you probably know already several other things....

How about this, though - a surprise for most people:
?
What does God's Word say is the reason someone should work at an honest job, depending on no one, and work with their hands. He gives one very clear specific reason why they are to work. And I don't think I've EVER heard it spoken or talked about in 'churches' or bible studies or anywhere. (I might have heard it long ago, there is so much water under the bridge :) ... but if I did , I forgot who taught about this) .....

There might be more than one reason stated by God in His Word, which is fine and good and welcome also.

I'm sorry. I did not understand the point you were trying to make in this post. It was a little confusing.

See the shortened version below :) .....

What does God's Word say is the reason someone should work
?

In the New Testament, when the instruction to work is given, it is given with specific reason why.

(any and all of the reasons given are true, of course)

Reading them is encouraging and enlightening as God's Will is revealed. (and different than men think)

I agree with you. I just believe god gave us brains for a reason. If I'm an idiot with what God gives me and cause myself to go bankrupt, should I expect God to bail me out? I'm going to use my brain that god gave me, to show God that I'm going to be a wise servant, and that I'm going to care for the woman he gave me to the best of my abilities. But I know that God is my true provider (including popping some unexpected jobs right into my lap).

I want to drive BMW 7 series.
living in $2 millions condominium,
flying in first class seat.

Am I greedy?
I would ask yourself is that Godly? How many spiritual things of importance do you desire?

I think you can answer your own question.

I would also add for you to think about is all the people starving in the world. Although this is not something one person can fix, God does tell us that the things we do for the least of these we do for Him. So we can all do some.

Then ask Him for it and He will give it to you...
I hope he at least has some marketable skills to get a good job. God doesn't drop BMW's out of the sky. Last time I checked.

Hopefully you are not setting him up to be disappointed telling him what God will give him

He would only be disappointed if he doesn't know how to ask. If he does, he doesn't have to worry about his skills or job....God will direct his path to that BMW. Everyone who ask receiveth. Think Of how many people he can feed with 2 mill. I say lets think about getting money to feed the hungry....and let others sit and think about people starving..while thinking it un-holy to desire more funds to be able to help.
