This has always been something that bothered me, so here we go. Let's say you have been married for many years, and your wife dies. So if you get remarried, does that mean if you go to Heaven you will have two wives in Heaven?

Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. I believe sfc in right on target. I think those passages are indeed literal and so marriage does not exist in heaven, which is in part why the saints take vows of celibacy; to not only give their entire life and time to God, but to emmulate and experience heaven on earth in every form posssible.
It is also an imitation of Christ to remain celibate, as Christ was. If we have one gauge to catch a glimpse of what heaven would be, it would certainly be Christ.![]()

by the way, how is everything brother? All is well in your life I hope?
May the peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.

I'm not saying you share the same soul or anything .I would just think that in Heaven the bond would still exist. I'm just not too sure if those Biblical quotes are to be taken literally. Any thoughts?![]()
