In this world I wear a mask

To hide myself away

Can I take it off I ask

Or on should it still stay



I’m someone no one really knows

And yet they think they do

I hide behind these masks and clothes

And ties and hats and shoes



I wish I could remove them now

And show everyone me

I’d take them off but don’t know how

I think I lost the key



The key to my identity

The one who isn’t shown

The key to who is really me

The one not really known



I hide behind this mask I’m fake

The real me isn’t here

This risk is one I can not take

I hide away in fear



I’ll hide away until its time

To make my big reveal

I’ve felt your pain now deal with mine

I finally broke the seal

i like it =)... good job...
but the last stanza is kind of sad... you should not hide behind your mask until its time... now is the time... =)... yet what do i know... i probably misinterpreted your poem... it was nice though =) peace out
