God requires something of you, to give you His eternal salvation.
You have to BELIEVE in Jesus.
Faith is not the savior. Faith can't save you......Jesus saves you, because you did what God required.

Sure, but our Lord Jesus also requires that people not go around raping infants and other terrible things. The principle you raised applies not only to belief in Jesus, but also to the way that we live our lives as Christians. It ain't rocket science.
