  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi! I just joined today....got the website from another Forum I belong to and I love it. I think I'm a Christian Forum junkie! I'm from Michigan (anyone else??)...I work full time, and 4 kids, 4 grandchildren (from 1 son), I have a son getting married on August 23rd. He's also in the National Guard, but going active duty in the Army in October :cry:
Oh, and I have a very loving husband! I can't wait to get to know alot of people here.

Hi Caroljo. It's my pleasure to meet you. I hope you find this place a blessing. May your walk with our great Lord be enhanced here. Your son will grow tremendously through military service. I served in the Air Force from 1979 to 1983 and that experience enriched my life abundantly. :wave:
