Me too... but if I die young, it is because something is preventing me from actually believing, regardless of what words keep coming out of my mouth. I can train a parrot to say "by his stripes we were healed"... the parrot has no more faith than the post he sits on. If belief is there, we receive what we pray for. If we do not receive what we pray for... it is only (for whatever reason) because belief is not present in us.

Well, the parrot at least must have some faith, or he wouldn't keep getting back on the post to hold him. He has faith in the post...like we have faith in Jesus. If we didn't believe that the Word works, we wouldn't bother even opening our mouths to speak it, correct? That's faith. The bible states that God has dealt every man the measure of faith..Ro 12:3. It doesn't say that we all have been dealt the same measure...which is evident in the church. Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God...Ro 10:17. You take into your Spirit what you allow to go in, and how often you hear it..(or read it).
I don't believe that healing is missed by the majority of Christians because they don't have enough faith. I believe that those who get healed, it is the "faithfulness" of God coupled with the measure that He has given each of us. With His faith, and ours, that makes for a powerful team. There have been times that I was healed, and I had no faith whatsoever in my faith, but like I stated, His faithfulness to do it. I believe that He is always willing to heal, but the lack a lot of times is our willingness to receive. Even Christians like to hold onto their ailments...gives them something to talk about...which I could never understand
How do you explain faith filled Christians who pray for someone, like say a family member, and they die anyway of a disease? The church is praying, the family and friends are praying, but to the grave they go anyway. Now, if it isn't enough faith or lacking something, don't you think that it would throw everyone who prayed right into condemnation by thinking they didn't have enough faith for that persons healing??? My bible states that there is now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.. Ro 8:1. Weird, all of the verses that I want are in Romans.
I believe that faith will be present for needed situations...but God gives that extra measure to us for that problem. If it's not there for it, then we still keep believing, even if He has other plans.

I have the understanding that we DO have the same measure of Faith. That scripture says "...according as God has dealt to every man THE measure of faith" It's how much of that Faith we activate in our lives that makes the difference, but its there whether we use it to the fullest or not.
Regarding that parrot and his post. I see that parrot getting up on that post because its where his owner showed him to sit and its all he knows to do. (Unless he decides to go find another place to sit on his own) It didn't take faith to sit there at all really. Which makes me think about how ritualistic we can get when we read the bible and pray certains prayers. "RELIGION" I don't need faith to say 'By Jesus stripes I am healed", but I need it to activate healing in my life, by thanking God for healing every day, when in the natural I may not see the manifestation of it. Belief is the partner for faith. I can have faith for my healing, but then I have to walk in that by believing it HAS BEEN DONE, not that it WILL BE. It's done, so walk in that BELIEF.

I believe we are in the days spoken of in the Word. Evil will be called good, and good, will be called evil. The turning of everything upside down. I think were living in the highway and hedges times of the Gospel, to compel them to come in. I really believe this.

Considering that I mostly lurk everywhere I go and just read things I never get into any of these heated debates. I have decided long ago that most of it is a waste of time.

These forums are my home yet I lurk them as well. What can I say I'm a lurker. I only chime in when I feel I should.

As for the P/C forums I have almost stopped going there. I always find division and strife and I can get that anywhere else, so I choose not to join in the "fun".

From what I have seen you are one of the better posters from P/C Trish, one that always seems to have a clear grasp on the word. You will find that being with people that are like-minded is a bit more comforting and much more edifying then argumentative chaps.

That is what we have been asking them for years.


The gospel minus the cross and the body of the lord is only half the gospel. The same word that says we are saved by the blood of the lamb also says we are healed by the body of the lamb. I am not saying people who do not believe this are not saved...but they may not be healthy, and that is why.
We used to call our churches "full gospel" because we did not leave out all the promises that were made good by Jesus in His work. Many do. To teach a gospel and simply leave out the body of the lamb is not another gospel, it is just and incomplete gospel... but to teach a gospel that specifically leaves out the body of the lamb, that is teahnically "another" gospel because it steps on and denies the body of the lamb. They will still be saved, but they may be sick, weak, and die young because of it.

For us that believe in healing and exercising our faith I believe that our time is coming. Look at the cost of hospitals and medicine, there is coming a point where people will either trust God or die because they will not be able to afford traditional man medicine and doctors. Yes, there is also walking right before God and many other things involved but we will do it or perish. Same with listening to the voice of the spirit, many are blind today and they will perish because of it when trouble comes to this country which i believe is not far off. We must keep preaching this message and pressing forward no matter how much opposition there is, peoples lives are really at stake here. Sorry I went off a little but I firmly believe all these things for a variety of reasons and for what I have been shown personally.

In the Bible when He stated something twice it was for emphasis as if saying " now listen and take heed. " So since then I have been doing all I can to tell others about Jesus.

I believe also that walking right before the Lord is involved. The God of this world has indeed blinded many to the truth. The Lord will give us strength to stand up for His Word and not compromise, taking to gospel to those who need to hear. As far as I am concerned your comments are welcome.
