Hey guys,
I do suffer from OCD, and this is an awkward fear. I have 2 email addresses, 1 I use for casual people, another I use for friends and family. I got an advertisement from a local club agency on my person email, which I never give out or advertise. And the email was simply advertising a special night at a local nightclub. I freaked out, It thought someone was trying to hack into my email, someone was going to read my emails and try to find something on me. My compulsions were checking compulsions, I wanted to change me password/block/check for any known alias ect...but I refrained from doing all that because I thought it would be a good exposure therapy not to do those compulsions in reaction to the anxiety I was having. ANYWAY, my question is, for people who suffer with OCD like us, is it common for people to have fears as if someone is out to ....I don't know... "get you" or "hurt you" in some way? I have a tendency to always think its an ex, or an old friend I no longer talk to. This does sound like OCD right? Most of my OCD is religious stuff, so this is kind of a new aspect. But it seems to follow a pattern.
