if this is in the wrong forum, i apologize greatly...but i do need advice and counsel for a friend

i know a couple that loves each other very much...both great christians...the male is going in the ministry...and she is faithful to him...

they started talking sexually...
that led to more detailic conversations...
then phone conversations...stories...fantasies...
then to even pictures...videos...but...
she says it isnt sin because it's not out of lust, that she hasnt lusted, but that it's all out of love...they say they wont do anything physical in person...the male is having doubts about if it's sin or not, his youth pastor says absolutly sin

...yeah...anyone wanna take a stab at that?

I don't see how anyone can bring pictures and videos into a relationship and claim there is no sin involved there. Pray for them, as she is decieving herself. If it were nothing but love, it would wait for marraige. And even within marraige, it should only be the husband and wife.

The youth pastor is right. It is absolutely sin and more sin piled on top of more sin. There's several sins here and not just one. Pray that this couple will be led into repentence and immediate change to godliness. This is a good example of how human beings justify, justify and justify some more.

Matthew 5:27-28 You know the next commandment pretty well, too: 'Don't go to bed with another's spouse.' But don't think you've preserved your virtue simply by staying out of bed. Your heart can be corrupted by lust even quicker than your body. Those leering looks you think nobody notices—they also corrupt.

It is the desire of the heart that lead to acts of sin.
Yet Christ is looking deeper and declaring that even thinking lustfully is sin.
So the whole jusification of "We are not going to do anything physical"
doesn't cut it with God.
To say that these two people are not thinking lustfully about each other is folly because it's humanly impossible not to considering what they are indulging in.

Lust being a strong desire for something you can't or shouldn't have.
I'm sure they didn't plan this to go this way, but how about their love for God and honouring Him with their lives.

It's easy to justify many things in our lives...until we honestly bring it before God and see how it fairs.
This is the whole concept of Jesus being Lord of our WHOLE life isn't it.

First and foremost..does it line up with God's Word.
Do they think thier love for each other overrides God's commands.
If they love each other , they would treat each other correctly according to God's word and abstain from their sexual indulgences till marriage.

Love is sacrificing one's life for the good of others.

It isn't love that would make the two break God's word on commitment and marriage, but just plain lust that is driving them to sin. The sin will hurt their relationship with God and with each other.

1 Corinthians 6:18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

Galatians 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

Ephesians 5:3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;

1 Corinthians 7:2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
