This book is a MUST read! Brian "Head" Welch from Korn--"Save Me From Myself"

[From Glory to Glory]

Hello,

I just finished the book by Brian "Head" Welch, former member of Korn, called "Save Me From Myself: How I found God, Quit Korn, Kicked drugs, and Lived to tell my story". Let me tell you...it is a must read. I read it in less than a day and just could not put it down. It is a fascinating journey of the rock-n-roll world and what happens on tour behind the scenes with many bands. Brian was completely addicted to drugs and alcohol. His life was spinning out of control, but miraculously, God intervened and saved him from all his addictions and Brian became a born-again, tongue-talking Christian. There are a few swear words in it as he recalls his past mostly, but I believe his conversion is genuine and the book has several chapters devoted to the pure Gospel message and how to give your life to Christ and live for Him.

I really hope that people support this book...it is inspiring and makes you want to deepen your relationship with Jesus. I am amazed at his conversion and his deep love for God and his story will give hope to all who read it.

I totally agree! He is another example of God's greatness! I read this book in a day too!!! I also have his new album and T-shirts!! His testimony had some amazing similaries to mine after he was filled with the spirit..it was nice to know there are other people in this world filled with the spirit of God!!

LAGUNA HILLS, Calif. (AP) - Another member of the heavy metal band Korn has overcome drug addiction by becoming a Christian.
Korn’s bassist, Reginald Arvizu—who calls himself Fieldy—will release his book, “Got the Life: My Journey of Addiction, Faith, Recovery and Korn” on Tuesday.
He says he was a mean addict and womanizer who quit drugs cold turkey when his father, a born-again Christian, told him his dying wish was for his son to find God.
Fieldy says Jesus Christ and the Bible were his only rehab, and the change in his life is “an amazing and powerful thing.“ Now he’s married with three children and working on a new album with Korn and his side project, Stillwell.
Fieldy’s former bandmate, Brian “Head” Welch, left Korn after becoming a Christian in 2005.

It is so cool cuz I used to be very upset when my son listened to their music in the 90's. They had such a negative message. Now he is rethinking his committment to christ too. Plus I have been able to share iwth a particular student I work with about these guys and their committment to christ. He is a nice kid but into the death metal stuff. He told me he had met feildy when they wre here a year ago and found him to be the "nicest guy" not aloof or anything. gg

I gotta say it's an excellent book(got it the week it came out)....I recommend it to anyone. He went thru literal hell and...well read the book. I turns out good.

My wife has read this book and found it to be the most inspirational book that she's read is a very long time. From what I've heard from her, it shows you where we Christians really live when we are out of our Sunday clothes and back in our Monday through Sunday clothes. It's sort of a rubber meets the road book.

By the way, reading this book now has become my marital homework!
