geocajun you may actually believe all of that but, in this territory it isn't worth the paper it isn't written on. ;)

I trust in God's authority--not man's. That is one of the biggest problems with your whole outlook on Christianity--you put trust in man that only belongs to God Himself. A very big mistake!!

Terri, where did you get your bible? did a man give it to you, or did it jump into your hands all by itself? And when that man told you it was inspired, did you trust him and the tradition he was teaching you?
I could write on paper right now, that the contents of my writing are the inspired word of God, and hand it to you and tell it was true.
How could you know it was not true, as distinct from the reasing you use to claim the scriptures are the Word of God?

By everyone that has the Holy Spirit.

When you have the Holy Spirit in you the words of the Bible are not just written words. They are as the Bible says:

HEB 4:12 For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

When you hear God's Words spoken or read them they are indeed alive and active and the Holy Spirit inside of you testifies to that. They are different from words that you and I say--they are powerful and you feel that power in your spirit.

2TI 3:16 16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Terri, are you trying to tell me we got the bible from all those who have the Holy Spirit?

While I suppose it is perhaps theoretically possible, I believe it to be highly unlikely!! :D

No he was agreing with you. You were trying to trun it around to make it sound like he was saying something he wasn't. He was making the point that you made, but only he made it first.

We trust that GOD told the Catholic guys that this is his word. How are we trusting man and you aren't? You trust the same catholic guys that we do or you would be rejecting the bible, no???

geocajun see post #104.

The Holy Spirit testifies to me when something is true--not a man.
Terri, your not answering my question. dont run from it, I want to learn how reasonable your understanding of Christianity is, not debate, just teach me how reasonable your faith is.
I have reprinted my post below to help make it easier for you to find my question.

geocajun you are preoccupied with what man did what..when. I could care less.

As i said you try to bring glory to catholics by saying they are responsible for the bible. If any human is responsible for us having the Bible it would be the apostles--who would I'm sure give all glory to God. Why can't you do that--why can't you give all glory to God rather then trying to give it to human beings?

Does your faith hinge on how much glory you think you can round up for your particular group? Mine doesn't!!

Because I totally trust in God and His love for me I KNOW that He will not let me be deceived.

Trust in God Himself Michelle is all any of us really have and all we really need!

ok, another attempt to escape answering my question... am I to conclude that you know your faith is unreasonable?
I give all glory to God, and recongize that God works through his creation to reveal himself to us, and has established a visible Church which He continues to work through, to guide us as a pillar of fire and foundation of Truth.
1 Tim 3:15 - The CHURCH is the pillar and foundation of Truth!

Yada Yada--I know you think your group is the "one true church". You can believe it all you want but, it isn't true--never has been, never will be. :)

You can call my faith unreasonable all you want--you can't hurt my faith because my faith is in God alone--certainly not in you or what you say! ;)

I myself am a member of the "one true church" and I'm not catholic! So there!! :D

I did not call your faith unreasonable, I asked you to show me how its reasonable and you refused, over, and over again which then caused me to ask if I was to conclude from those actions, that you know your faith to be unreasonable.
So is your faith unreasonable? If its reasonable, then answer my SIMPLE question...
