We had gravel alleyways when I was a kid...by the end of every summer we could run down them barefoot Don't ask how it was in June though! ouch

I went barefoot more times than not when I was younger. Even in college. I used to get razzed about it from time to time, but at least my feet didn't stink from sweat!
