Guess I missed out on all the fun last night!

My boys are really into the Wii (ages 17 & 24), actually, they have all the Nintendo systems.

Now I hope that anyone who has hair long enough when they cut it off, donates it to Locks of Love.

I am sitting here, dealing with the allergies big time (going to see if there is somethinge else I can do to settle them down) and having to share a computer. Around here, that is and eeks. Mine is getting worked on as the moniter has an annoying thing it does and since it is a laptop, the whole thing goes in.

Have a great on everyone! Blessings

My son thought I was completely nuts...we didn't allow any video games as our kids were growing up. No xbox or handheld...nothing! :swoon: Somehow he survived, but when he headed off for college, along with his books, a gamecube was his first purchase. Well, he's graduating in May, so I guess it didn't harm him. I'm still glad we did what we did. He was kind of a couch potato at home.

Locks of Love

Hope your computer gets fixed soon!

We only have a PS2 and it has an Eye Toy device that can be hooked up to it which is really fun. My daughter loves playing Dance Dance Revolution on the PS2! She's so involved in other things that she only plays the video games about once a week for an hour or two. So, I really don't mind having it around.

Oh yeah! It's a great workout if you can keep up LOL

My daughter has already gone through one Dance Pad (the up key went bad) and is on her second. I don't want to ruin her second one since it was a birthday gift from her aunt, so I stay off it. Not that I ruined the first one...she and her friends put a lot of hours on it last summer!

My daughter's friends bring theirs over to plug in! We've had some fun parties here :D

I'm at the beginner level. I can do it easily on the floor without the pad LOL But I just can't get the timing as exact as it needs to be on the mat!

Nah, you weren't mean. We didn't imply that at all. I just have one daughter...so we have money to spend on her. Also, I grew up with an Atari, and enjoyed time spent with my family playing the games. I wanted that closeness for my family now and sometimes that happens which is great :)

That's why I bought the Wii. I refused to have any other console in my house until it came out. We truly enjoy it . It was designed for the family and it certainly lives up to it.
Some of the games simply don't interest me and my daughter gets into her Zelda, which she's already beaten, but I will probably buy Rayman for my birthday so we can take on the rabid attack bunnies! The sports games are my fave, of course, and they put up a decent workout so I have not regretted the purchase one bit.

No you weren't mean seajoy! The fact that your kids still talk to you is testamony to that.

My kids had to earn the money to buy any of theirs. Paper routes, summer jobs, etc. My oldest was into the computers, programming and such and the games were kind of an extenstion of that. Plus, they did not get into those games that are controversial. The Sims, Zelda, Mario were the ones they really got into, lots of strategy and planning. None of the graphic shoot em up types.

OH I cannot stand the violent video games at all!!

This week I took part in an online survey that asked about video games and I rated all the violent ones POOR and stated I would never buy them :) Hopefully I'm not the only one to do that in the survey!

I use to watch my gradson play "Grand Theft Auto" and told him to quit playing the game as I thought it was atrocious. It brought the worst of human elements. Random killings and mayhem and crimes against humanity and police. Were's the site. I'd like to put in my 2 cents worth.

Those kind of games are worthless, designed only to corrupt minds :sigh:

Oh, it wasn't on a site per se. It was through a survey company I signed up for. I do surveys to make some small cash and earn points on other sites so I can turn the points in for gift cards :)

Yea I did that a couple of years ago. Must have been the same survey group. Never did buy anything. I just wanted a "sayso" in surveys. Let it go by the way side when I started looking for a wife. Should have keep up my survey instead :)

Well, there you go. Next time, wait for God to drop the right woman on your head. You know what they say...."when you least expect it".
