  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Think I'll sit down here for a bit...

Well, spring has sprung. The first butterflys have made their appearance. I noticed a type I've never seen before. They're barely 1/2 inch across and they have 1/8th inch orange spots in the centre of each wing. Just a tiny little brown butterfly that's really neat!:) I really like butterflys, they're one of the nicer gifts we recieve from the Lord.

There's been a considerable increase of ruby throated hummingbirds this year too. There's six regulars to my porch that have become downright tame. I like hummingbirds too.:) Another of the nicer gifts.

The temperature has been about perfect today. I've opened up the house to allow the fresh air in and the frusty air out. Forgive me, I feel like a song:

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood,
A beautiful day for neighbors...

Thought I would start preparing for my vacation, way the end of May. Am heading off to central Florida but will also be on at least one of the coasts.

With things like Easter (wonderful) then a trip for an anniversary which kicks off a very hectic 10 days (which includes the youngest's high school graduation) I thought I would put something up that is relaxing to the eyes for now.

We barely made it to 40 and have the threat of rain or snow. Guess I live too far north.

Boy this forum has been dead today. Must be the warm weather keeping everyone outside.

It must be nice to have a life. :sigh:

Missed me, didn't ya? ;) :tutu:

Sorry to hear about your dad, Becky. Prayers for a speedy recovery and a relief from pain.

I would find that interesting.
Okie, dokie!

That's solid rock in the river bed at this point and no algae to be found so we were able to scamper across it in bare feet with no problem.
That's my little angel climbing to find a spot for us to have a snack.

The gypsum layers in between the sand stone fold and twist in this spot and is actually vertical in some places.

Vertical Gypsum layer within sedimentary sand stone.

This was my favorite bed in the river. We could actually hear the water leaching through and dripping into the caverns, which means that some of this will not be there much longer. It will give way to gravity and God's surgical application of water. Very cool!

Believe it or not, we found the water source of this fork of the Little Red River was a few groupings of small springs such as these.
Who says the Earth is not dynamic? God set all this in motion with the wave of His hand. How awesome is that? ;)
How can anyone even think this was an all an accident? There is purpose in every minute natural process. Never a better engineer there was.
