Boy, my husband has a bad wife - we had hot dogs and chocolate muffins for dinner tonight. ^_^

Mmm that sounds about perfect to me, Angie! YUM!

Mike has a really bad wife. We're having left over pizza. Maybe. LOL

Just had a bloody row with my roomate. George has increased his alcolhol intake again and I've about had it with him. If there was another place to go to... Two years of trying to get this guy out of the hole and he climbs back in. So frustrating.

The pastor had a good message today. The sermon passage was Mark 5: 21-43 where Jesus healed the Ruler of the Synagogue's daughter. The message delt with, "fear not, but believe." It was very good.

It's interesting that in his compassion, Jesus raised numerous people from the dead. Some, Like lasarus and the Widow's son, had been dead for a while. Others, like Jarius' daughter in the above example, had just died. In fact, in the Centurion's example, Christ was even able to cure people without being in their proximity. Let alone the case of the woman who touched just the edge of his prayer shawl and was healed, through no intentional action of his. It truly amazes me that a man who could authentically bring back the dead would be rejected the way Christ was. Yet, it had to be that way. What a mystry are the ways of God.

Well, it turns out that the quarter-inch sized purple spot in my mouth is ... a quarter-inch sized purple spot. Checked twice: both times declared perfectly benign. Not going away, but nothing to worry about.

Thank you, God.
Praise the Lord! This is wonderful.

I've never had a purple spot,
I never hope to either!
But when it comes to purple spots,
I'd rather see than have one!:p

Good news! It looks like you just have a very decorated mouth!;) Let's pray, it never develops into anything either.:crossrc:

As best we can figure it, my son left his mark on me one night. He was bouncing on our bed, and with a big cheezy grin he bounced over, up, and rammed his head right into my jaw.

The spot is the result of a damaged blood vessel which has since reached a new equilibrium; I will carry for the rest of my life a reminder of my son when he was a happy, bouncy little 5-year old. In a demented way it would be heartbreaking if I ever need to have it dealt with.

Most people find cameras and photographs to be a far less painful method of preserving happy memories.;)

It started raining here this morning, and I thought of your situation, Stude. Have you gotten some rain as of late?

No, the way things work, we won't get rain till October or November. It's just one of those California things. That's why we're such a popular vacation area.;)

I've been going down to the Fire Station at the bottom of the hill for water. They've got a much more generous well. Also, they can draw from Grass Valley Creek. We can too, except that side of our property has a 150' vertical drop, or cliff. No way to get more than hand tools down there. Anyway, I've been able to keep things alive with the portable tank.:) In fact, I'm going down there with it in a few minutes. Thank Heavens the Fire Chief is as kind as he is.:) Thanks to him, I think the potatoes are going to make it.

Edit:
Praise God from whom all blessing flow...:amen:

Day 2 with my headache. Any ideas for getting rid of it? I'm taking excedrin migraine - I've tried a heating pad on my head and even an ice pack. I tried a strong cup of coffee (that was a suggestion someone gave me). Nothing is working, and it just keeps throbbing.

How is your headache, Lambie? Hope you are doing better than I am.

I was chatting away with Seajoy earlier and mentioned that George and I acquired four new members to our crew for eco-friendly and green fire-hazard brush removal team. They're Harpo, Chico, Groucho, and little Pipo.

As you can see, the new members of the team are sheep. Jacob's sheep to be exact. They don't quite yet have the same spectacular horns of their sire. His centre horns stick straight up three feet above his head. He looks like a bug. Or maybe something out of Star Trek (LOL)!:D Anyway, we dropped them off at my client Roger's house and they started to work almost right away. They all looked a bit shocked when they saw all that beautiful grass. Kinda like, "Wow... Dude! Look at all that grass man! It's, like... you know, Nirvana, we've died man! And... like... we've gone to Heaven. Like... you know?" The boys have done a great job getting the grass eaten down. Wish I had six more.;) Maybe I'll try Shropshire next.:p
