Ha! It did indeed hit 21 (70 F) here once the sun came and stayed out. We went for a stroll through the park and to the library (which was closed :( ). This is a school holiday week, so the traffic is bad with everyone trying to get to the beach, but we're slowing getting more used to it.

Cold and dreary here. High of 53 so far. Kinda fits my mood.

I did go out for coffee with a new friend today, though. We talked for 2 1/2hrs. That did lift my spirits some, and gives me hope for making friends in this new place. As you can tell, I miss my friends so much....and you know my hubby....working non-stop (praise God, he has a job now). I think too much when alone.

Anyway, enough on my junk...hope everyone is having a good day.

Day 5 of my latest cold is coming to an end. I've been suffering from one per month since the beginning of the year ... or maybe it's been one big cold with monthly flare-ups.

I feel for you, Archaenfel. 3 or 4 years ago I had one that lasted from October to May. Side effect of living with small children. HOpe you get feeling better soon and stay that way.

Chuckie Cheese's? Oi!:sput::waaah: You know, there's a reason they serve Beer there.;)

The weather has been warm and fine lately. In the eighties. Dry as a bone. The thunderheads passing through are a concern. It was about this time last year that the thunderheads lit all those fires. We're kinda sitting on a pincusion around here.:stress:

George and I went over the hill to clean up a few snags and dead firs. I also took down two trees that were in the way of putting up my own house. I don't want them causing trouble later. Besides, I'll need them as support beams. It's kind of hard to believe that after two years of dreaming and planning, I just might begin construction on the basic platform this year. We'll see, I suppose. Now, all I have to do is get George back to work...

The snapdragons are putting on a better display this year than last. It's odd enough that they're over a year old, but to put on so much better a display is really off the wall. The sprinklers have helped tremendously. The lilies are really going to put on quite a show too. Spring has sprung in the land of wink'in blink'in and nod.

Hello... <tink><tink><tink>. Anybody out there?

Well, yesterday was a bit warm but nice over all. Today is mostly overcast and MUGGY! Gosh, I feel like I'm in the mid-west somewhere!:p

Started the Spring Cleaning thing today. Lord have mercy! The dirt that two hillbill... ah, um, Mountian Rustics (?) and four big dogs can make is frightening. I've got the computer room swept out and clean (sort of). Now I'm working on the kitchen, YIKES! Why do I look around in here and think of the movie, Second Hand Lion? this house isn't nearly so nice. No tower either. I'll probably tackle the living room and the dining room (YIKES, and YIKES) tomorrow. Then again... mayyyyybe... not.;):p

I recommend America's Incredible Pizza if you have one, over that scary mouse any day. The one near us is owned by an LCMS church. They unfortunately do not serve beer (which I find surprising), but it's a lot more spacious - more room to move around and think. Best of all, where you eat is separated from where you play.

My 8 year old discussed Chuck E Cheese a few months ago, thanks to her father. *shudder* It's SO loud and chaotic.

She wanted to have her birthday there, so we looked into how much it would cost. Then we let her have the choice... five friends at Chuck's or unlimited friends at our house for the same amount of money. We ended up hosting the party at our house. *grins* Smart girl.
