Chips are a different story, you know. No frog fries here.
The English/French tension is alive and well. It cracks me up, especially since so many of us are descended from the Normans . It's a whole other kind of history lesson here, for sure and I absolutely love it.

Lol, you're quite right, Porter. The British aversion to Foreign food is almost laughable. Did I say almost? It's a running joke that even the Brits enjoy poking at! The dis-trust of the French is also just as laughably entrenched. How about the explosive charges embedded in the Chunnel?

'Maters n 'Taters, huh (LOL)? Okay....

George and I are going to attempt to use a generator to run the well. It'll cost two thousand dollars just for 600' of wire to the well head, so a genny looks pretty good. After all, we only have to run it to fill a tank, not all the time. So far, the Lord's answer on rain seems to be no, so one has to do what they can in the meantime.

We had a beautiful weekend once it quit raining on Saturday! Got the garden all planted- tomatoes and about 6 different kinds of peppers! It's such a good feeling to get that done, and just in time for some more rain. Sounds like we won't have to worry about watering the garden this week.

I took advantage of CPH's sale and ordered a TODP and BOC. They came already, less than a week! I haven't had much time to look at them, but the Treasury of Daily Prayer looks amazing. I really like the print size and font. It'll make reading much easier in the years to come and on "bad-eye" days. For such a large book, it's comfortable to hold and read. I can see why those of you who already have it have been raving about it. (I hope they have another sale after the new Lutheran Study Bible comes out) It's nice that the BOC, TODP and new hymnal are color-coordinated.
