I've been following this closely since it happened. Columbia, IL is parrallel across the Mississippi from where I live, and I know people who lived in his neighborhood, whose kids played with his kids, and people close to the investigation. We were so wanting to hope it wasn't him, but at the same time wanted the person who did it to be caught.

05/19/2009 - Christopher Coleman charged in murders of wife, young sons - STLtoday.com

How can someone do that to their family??? (redundant question, I know the answer - sin).

If you click on the pic you get a bigger image. She's wearing a dress her mother wore in a wedding exactly 20 years ago. (well, 20 yrs ago in April)

What a little angel.

Kae, I'm grateful to know you're OK, but I know from experience that both of you will be very sore for a while. Your angels sure have a hard job, don't they?

The pic is adorable LC!

Thanks everyone for your prayers and well wishes! I swear I can't catch a break! LOL C'est la vie though.

More xrays tomorrow and Mike's going to be seen for his wrist. Now that the burns don't hurt anymore, he's noticed pain in a couple of spots where he thinks his wrist smacked the steering wheel.

I, however, keep discovering new bruises everyday. LOL I'm going to be black 'n blue (and green and yellow) for quite sometime I guess. *G*

Bloomer, we're praying for everyone! May God give little Tiger the strength to battle these bugs!!! And mucho strength to Mom, Dad and Big Brother!

::hugs::

Kae

Ouch- you'll be sore for awhile I am sure. Hopefully you will both heal quickly.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments on the pic- I hate to be one of 'those' grandmas, but sometimes I just can't help it!

I'm glad to hear you and Mike are doing okay, Strawberry. Seems like lately, people just aren't attending to their driving like they should. Sadly, they seem to be hitting other people, not things like walls and trees. You pamper yourself and Mike, hear? No pushing to get back to normal. Just take your time, okay?

A couple of Thursdays ago George and I were on our way to Weaverville to see the premere (in Trinity County) of the new Star Trek movie. We got to Indian Creek, about seven miles out of town, and were stopped by an accident. There's a frontage road there, and I decided to try going around. It was a no, go as there were parts of the cars scattered around the opposite end where it returned to the highway. One of the cars, a silver one, was sitting on the shoulder of the West bound lane adjacent to us. It was so mangled we couldn't tell what it was, let alone which make. Disapointed, we went home. I said a quick prayer for the victims on the way home.

The next day, a friend of mine returned a call I'd made on Thursday. Whilst we were talking, he mentioned that a Ford Tarus had been in a serious accident on Hwy. 299 on Thursday. That was when I found out that my friends Anthony, and his wife Heather had been in the car. I've seen that car a hundred times. It was a very familliar sight with Anthony or Heather tooling along the road with a friendly wave for everyone. Blessedly, neither was seriously hurt. Heather's seat broke loose from the floor, which had warped and torn, and she ended up in Anthony's lap. This gave Anthony some serious bruises, but no serious injuries. They're both okay, sore to be sure, but okay praise God!

There were two other cars involved in the crash. One was an elderly couple in a three year old Lincoln. The car's right front wheel was torn off and it was totaled. However, the safety devices did their jobs and the couple are alright. Due to their age (both in their eighties) they were taken to the local hospital and kept overnight for observation. The car that caused the trouble by rear-ending Anthony and Heather at sixty-plus miles-per-hour, was a Ford Crewcab pickup. It had very little damage. The woman driver and her four children were completely unharmed.

All this trouble, pain, and angst, was caused because the driver of the Pickup was going ten miles-an-hour (at least) faster than the speed limit and not paying attention on a curve. Thank God no one was killed!

I need everyone to pray that all the that's drowning the mid-west would drop it's wet goodness on the West Coast first. We're really parched up here in No. Cal. I'd go out and do a Rain Dance, except that it just might irritate the Lord. See, Rain Dances were a pagan thing... I need to get on the Lord's good side, so I guess I'll do my dancing on my knees.

On the up-side, we had fresh snap-peas for dinner last night. The first I've grown for many a moon. The bush beans and potatoes are up too. Now, all I have to do is keep them alive.

Sorry bout the drought, Stude. So far, that's not been an issue here.

I cooked fresh green beans last night, too, only to be the only one eating them! My daughter claims she'll only eat them cold and my husband insists that they're french (gasp!) beans and because they smelled funny to him when he was a kid, he still won't eat them. What a couple of warts!!!!!
