LOL, it's never too late till your computer crashes. Sometimes it's not helpfull to wait a long time though...

A Hundred Sixty-eight is close to what I spent. They told me that my Drive is dying and I went out and replaced that too. My CD drive is kaput as well, so there's yet another expense. Oi! Sometimes I'd like to call this thing the money-pit! The CD drive will get replaced with a DVD driver when I can afford it. Another week or so. Hopefully, the main drive will hold up that long. That way I'll be able to boot on the DVD drive with the boot CD. Gee... isn't this fun?

By the by, George and I are finally caught up with his mortgage. It took us fourteen months, but we're there! Hooray! All we have to do is come up with the M.P. in the next few weeks. Sure wish we could find a way to refinance this thing to lower payments.

Your faith will see you through and you'll get where you need to be eventually, but it's tough for everyone right now. This reminds me of what happened to my breakfast yesterday. Phone rang and when I went back to my cereal, that rascal Cyrus was drinking the milk out of my dish. (Sigh) That young scamp just does not yet comprehend the idea that cats do not belong on the kitchen table. The day before, I set my glass of milk on the table, turned around to check the toaster, and he drank my milk. As the saying goes, dogs have masters, cats have staff.

LOL! Good one Porter. No, sorry, I just can't take credit for this trend-setting behaviour. My parents and George's, were not well off. We were both comfortable growing up, but there was precious little to go round all the same. So... sorry, but the credit goes to my parents, and George's. Also, I've had a tremendous amount of help from some friends who, if one looked in the dictionary under 'Christian' these people would be there as an illustration. Under the sub-catagory of 'moral support' would be many of the people in this forum.

How's the move coming along?

You know, George came up with a funny suggestion. He thinks that when one submits a posting that the Halleluiah chorus plays as one clicks the button. LOL, I love it, LOL! 'Course, he thinks that the Motet played by the Phantom Of The Opera would be good for when the Moderator shows up (LOL).

I know what you mean about growing up with a bit of austerity. It's beneficial to development, I think. Perhaps we'll apply that to my daughter once we get settled across the pond.

We had our UK Immigration biometric data collected yesterday (fingerprints and photographed...again!) and I am assembling our application support binders today with original documents, etc. to prove we are indeed a genuine family. I suppose people do go to lengths to defraud govts. to gain access to public resources, so we have to prove we are financially viable as well. I'm ready to be done with all of it and we're getting close.

Once I send it off today, it will be in God's hands. I can't imagine why we would might be delayed, but I will worry a bit until the visas actually arrive.
