Well, we are iced in today. Church services cancelled. I needed to sleep in. Been trying to catch up on sleep, but can't seem to. Stayed up too late last night watching the news. Darn 24 hour news channels. Darn world events.

Seajoy, prayers that your hubby has a safe trip. You aren't going? I am sure we will have lots of time to chat on here.

Glad to hear everyone with health problems are doing better.

We are iced in today, as well.

No, I'm not going on this trip afterall. It's work work work for my husband. He will be in northern Germany, in a farming community. Maybe next time when he doesn't have to be working so much and we can tour together. It was sure hard to say goodbye this morning.

Maybe next time, Sis. Besides, Northern Germany isn't very pleasant this time of year. Then again, you do live in Wisconsin. So, what's the difference?;):p

It's icy here as well. Not nearly, I'm sure, what you in the mid-West and East are enjoying.:bbrr: Something for which I'm unabashedly very thankful!:) Still, there are dis-advantages. The water system is frozen solid again.:sigh: So very frustrating,:argh: We'll probably be without water for a few days... again.:whyy:

Ah well. At least work is going well. I've been working on building a Handicapped suite in a friend's sister's place for the past few months. It's going slowly as a lot of the job involves re-working what has already been done. I finally decided to knock out part of the back wall yesterday to put in French doors. The lady who this suite is being made for is wheelchair bound and quite large. Hence, a normal door is... tight. So she'll have a lovely set of French doors to look through and go out of. Bathing has been a problem for her, so we made the whole bathroom into a shower. That way, it makes it easier for her. Of course, this opens several challenges for the rest of the room. But then, challenges are what makes life interesting, right?:)

Seajoy, I hope you feel better today. Also, don't forget to sit under your light for a while too. Hope everyone else's day and services go well. May our Gracious Lord send you all an angel to keep you safe on the road today.

Thanks ctay. I really appreciate that. :)

And, Stude, thanks for the reminder on my happy light. Some days I think of it, and other days I don't. The sun is shining brightly, at the moment. Everything is covered in ice, so it's kind of pretty....until you step outside.

Angie, why don't you come over to Facebook and play with us? I'll send you silly flair guaranteed to make you laugh. Zec will poke the dickens out of you. Lambie will send you flowers and fishies and I'm sure everyone else will hop on the bandwagon. *G*

I'm experiencing some pretty wicked vertigo right now...woke up around 5 this morning and tried to go to the bathroom. Fell. Got up and made it in and then, LUCKILY AFTER I WAS DONE (!!!!) I fell off the potty. Got back to bed and spund around and around and felt like a record...gah.

Mike went out and got me some AntiVert and some real Sudafed. (the good stuff you can only get at the pharmacy counter now. Not the "reformulated" stuff. *G*) So that should help.

Anyway...just wanted to see how everyone is and say I love y'all!

I am SO glad you are okay, but that bolded part made me laugh out loud. I've done that a couple of times in the middle of the night so I know what it's like and I know the feeling of relief that I was already done!!

Kae, when you have vertigo, do you also have ringing in your ears? I have a condition called Meniere's disease. It causes vertigo and the ringing in my ears. I have to be careful of my diet and don't cook with salt at all. The reason I ask, is that your husband went out for both Antivert and Sudafed. This is similar to what the doctor perscribed for me. He also perscribed a direuritic (sp?) to get my water down. There hasn't been a problem for years. The ringing in my ears and if my feet swell tell me that things are going to give me trouble, and to be careful.

LOL! My room-mate was looking over my shoulder and said I have Gout in my head! LOL, sounds like me, really off the wall!

Anyway, Kae, try cutting the salt down (or even out) and drink lots of water (it flushes out the salts). Good luck, Luv. There's nothing quite like trying to walk down the hall when it simply won't sit still. Kinda like trying to walk on board ship whilst at sea during a particularly violent storm.:waaah:

Thanks everyone!

Stude, I've had ear troubles all my life. I even came to my parents with my own little bottle of ear meds and I have dyslexia which stems from an inner ear disorder. I haven't been this bad in ages so, it might not be acting up...it could be that I'm getting a cold...or...or...or...*G*

But thanks for the info! I'm going to the Doc today and I'm going to talk with her about it.

Hope the doctor can help you today, Kae.

I have an appointment with my rheumatologist today for my knees. They hurt so badly, I can't stand it anymore.

I hope your doc can help you, Sejoy!!

Doc said I was doing what she'd recommend and she drained me of 5 tubes of blood and I should hear back this evening. *G*

Have you heard anything yet? Hope all is ok with you.

Well, I got a cortizone shot in my left knee. He is doing some more extensive testing...for Lupus, and other stuff. I'm having several new symptoms......so it goes. I was only drained of 3 tubes of blood. :)

By the way...I heard from hubby today. He made it to Germany just fine. :)

I'll never forget my "almost falling of the potty" experience. My buddy, my kids and I came back from a 2 day fishing trip on the gulf some years ago. We went to a Red Lobster to eat. I had to visit the Loo and while I was on the pot I kept swaying back and forth. I had to brace myself between the walls to quit rocking. We all hadn't got our land legs yet. WHen we were sitting at the table we noticed that each one of us were sitting there rocking back and forth. Looked like we all had one to many.

On a more serious note. I got cracked on the noggin some years ago and had serious vertigo for about a week. I couldn't drive or walk and fell off the bad one time. I went to the doc and he rolled me around on a table and positioned my head different ways. When I got up I was absolutely fine. Seems I had knocked loose some calcium deposits in my inner ear and he had repositioned them so they wouldn't bother me. What a relief.
