  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Think I'll sit down here for a bit... (6)

They all come home for food, don't they? ^_^

I had a wonderful return once several years ago. My husband was in the hospital. When my mother-in-law was taking the dog outside, the cat escaped. We called and hunted for him, even tried to follow his tracks in the fresh snow. He was gone for 2 weeks. Then, on Christmas Day, he showed up on our front steps, a litltle thinner, but still fat and sassy. He was a huge, orange tiger cat--think Garfield--hard to miss. He greeted us, then headed for his food dish. It was a couple weeks before he decided to visit the great outdoors again.

It's in the 70's here, too, breezy and a bit couldy to block the sun. This is how it was most of last summer and I pray we are blessed again this summer and spared from the extreme heat.

It's supposed to rain this week as well and we sure need it, but I hope it all passes before we put our canoes in the Rio Grande next week. That's not the way I want to go!

It got up to 44 here. A real tropical heat wave!
Isn't it though!? :p

The weather really is great outside compared to the arctic weather we've been having. Unfortunately..I heard it's going to get back to sub-freezing temps tomorrow.. :(

I'm a glutton for punishment sometimes. :help:
There are easier ways to punish yourself. Just try and get through a Joel Osteen broadcast. That works for me. 5 minutes into any program or podcast and I'm screaming "When are you gonna talk about sin? Ya know, the thing that keeps us separated from God? And JESUS DID NOT DIE TO MAKE US FEEL BETTER ABOUT OURSELVES!!!! HE IS NOT OUR LIFE COACH!!!!" It's actually a pretty good way to destress. LOL
