Camp Tecumseh with the Girl Scouts My daughter and her 2 friends are Juliettes (independents who aren't in a troop) and they've been dying to go back to camp, so we're going as a part of a neighborhood event. It's a fun place, but I have never been there in the heat of summer. I'm not looking forward to 2 heat filled nights with no air conditioning. ick.

I'm rather fond of the little fellows myself. I've six feeders in front of the house and sometimes the air just shivers with them. The downside is that I go through five pounds of sugar every three to four days. It's really funny the looks I get with three five pound bags of sugar with my shopping. Some people go to the movies, I feed the birds. Go figure...

back to work today -- no kids yet, but meetings & such -- so i will be leaving about 6:30 since i have to be there by 7 (last year i started at 8:30) but i get off by 2:40! woohoo!!!

the spot is now just annoying (with the clotty stuff there) but it has not hurt at all -- interestingly enough, my BACK hurt yesterday (i think from sitting pretty tensely at the dentist)

I hope your mouth is feeling better by now. I've had 3 teeth pulled and wear a bridge also. Not quite like having your own teeth but beets not having any at all


Besides, its so much fun to spit your teeth out in your hand and brush them

My Mum used to say that I have an aristocratic jawline and peasant teeth. In otherwords, I have horse-teeth from the Germans and too small of a mouth for them, courtesy of the British side. Oi.

This eventually resulted in six of my teeth being extracted before braces were installed. This got rid of the buck-toothed look, but was excruciating.

I've since had a broken and painful molar pulled and the crown of it's opposite cracked in half years ago. So, I only have a half molar there. My Dentist decided that my wisdom teeth were better than my molars and pulled the latter.

My wife's stallion rubbed me off on a telephone pole and that cost me one of my top front teeth. The dentist put in an implant to replace it. Can't even tell it's a falsie.

So, I guess that means that I'm missing eight and a half teeth in all. The rest are in reasonably good shape. Though I have to use the sensitive tooth paste. Otherwise, everything I eat or drink has to be room temperature. No icecream or hot tea. Yuk!

I had a bad problem with sensitive teeth about 6-7 years ago. I tried all that fancy tooth paste and other stuff, nothing helped until I started taking calcium pills every day for my back. Haven't had a problem with sensitive tteth since. I told my dentist about but he didn't believe me. Don't really care as it took care of my problem.

Sure hope everyone's teeth are doing well today. Next Monday is my root canal and, believe it or not, I can't wait.

I guess I should confess something here. On Sunday, during services, I was....UN LUTHERAN!

Yep, you read that right. How was I so shameful you ask? Well I...um...I...*takes deep breath* I SAT IN THE FRONT OF THE CHURCH!!!

*whew* I feel so much better now.

My family actually sits in the very back pew because my Mom needs the extra light to see. Unfortunately, that light gives ME a headache. So, since my parents were on vacation, I decided to sit up closer to see if it helped. I'll continue to sit with my parents when they're there, but it was nice to sit in a different spot. Also helped with concentration. Not the same ole same ole...ya know?

And why not the middle? 'Cause all those seats were taken. LOL

My daughter, about your same age just had that problem, got new glasses and it went away.

Studeclunker, thanks for the picture of the hummers. I had a hummingbird moth in my flower garden yesterday. They tend to show up about sunset. Look a lot like hummingbirds until you notice the antenna. They like the coneflowers and hollyhocks.

I like to sit toward the front to keep from being distracted by what's going on in front of me, especially with the families who have small children. It helps my daughter concentrate on the sermon and liturgy and besides, it's the same pew my parents sat in regularly when I was growing up.

LOL--Mom & Dad sit in the pew next to the window of Jonah, same place for 40+ years, ever since their kids graduated out of the back rows "reserved for families with small children". I sat on the right side of the aisle last Sunday instead of the left, as usual, felt a bit odd, almost like I was visiting.
