Well, it has been interesting here lately.

Daughter arrived home (the Minneapolis airport actually) on July 23. We had dinner with our son and headed down the road to Rochester. Had an appointment there. Daughter found a car to buy. Gosh, paper work on buying a car sure is a lot.

Then we had to get ready for family over the weekend. Our niece, who is an ESL teacher in Taiwan through LCMS World Missions was going to speak at our church as Immanual supports her. They had to leave after dinner on Sunday.

We then headed to St. Paul to see Spamalot. Quite an interesting musical. One has to remember that everything is a parody in it. After some shopping at IKEA and the Mall of America, we returned home.

I think we are in a more normal routine now. Well, as much as one can be with an extra person in the house.

On top of that, had a cold go into a sinus infection so am now on antibiotics. Trying to catch up on sleep. Maybe I will be caught up in the morning.

Well, I am soon off to bed.

i just had a tooth pulled it tastes so nasty in my mouth from all the stuff -- and nothing to eat or drink for another half hour!!

You're brave, Becky. They'd have to knock me out and/or strap me down to pull one of my teeth.

I have a root canal scheduled for the 13th. Not at all looking forward to it. *G* I hear, though, that they're not as bad as everyone says.

i had a root canal on this tooth 5 years ago -- it happened to crack recently (all down to the root) plus it had an infection around the root

the root canal did not bother me much (not as much pain as people make it sound) -- the pulling the tooth, i felt some pressure (that bugged me) and i did not even think he was done & the tooth was out!

it feels so odd in my mouth -- the dentist put some sort of "in mouth bandage" on it -- so it feels like i have a bunch of chewed up gum all over my mouth on that side!

Root canals use to be a whole lot different than they are now. The way they do them now is so much easier than the way they use to do them. Use to take several appointments. Now they do it all in one.

I'm sorry to hear that you had a tooth pulled. I had one pulled last week and next week they are going to do a bridge. So I know your pain and remember, Vicodin is your friend! LOL

no vicodin, it doesn't hurt a lot (for now) -- so we shall see!! i won't get my bridge for awhile (it will be a double bridge as the tooth next to it was pulled 5 years ago -- a baby tooth!) -- and now i will have to REdo the bite impressions since this tooth is gone (i was just there 2 weeks ago to do them)

Ooohh tooth work - I think I hate that the most. Hope you are feeling better and you don't have a lot of pain to spoil your weekend. I have been blessed with minimal work on my teeth needed over the years, but my poor hubby - he has had more root canals, teeth pulled and crowns than I can count! Seems like everytime we finally get the dentist paid off we start all over again - good thing he's understanding about payments!

Hope your bridge work goes fine and painless!

the spot is now just annoying (with the clotty stuff there) but it has not hurt at all -- interestingly enough, my BACK hurt yesterday (i think from sitting pretty tensely at the dentist)

Wow, everyone around here is plagued with tooth problems? Me too! I go in Monday to see what will happen, I might have a cracked filling or the tooth below it is cracked, so maybe a crown is next? Ack.

I would rather have a root canal than a filling. Never have had pain with root canals, but some fillings, OUCH!

Got a tooth that has a chunk out of it for over 6 months. Guess I'll have to get it looked at after I get home from the trip.

I'll have it pulled. I don't want to keep trying to save part of it so the dentist can buy his wife a new Beamer

Except for fillings I have all my original teeth, except one. Now I'll loose another. Not bad for a junior geezer
