Well, just thought I would let you all know that I am going to be scarce the next month or so. Daughter returns Monday evening from studying the last 6 months in Germany. First thing on the agenda is car shopping. Then we have a mini family reunion. Her cousin is one of our missionaries in Taiwan and our church supports her. Her family will be here for the weekend and she will make a presentation.

Son will return from his summer job by the first weekend of August. Off to Nebraska to take daughter to her cousin's and son and I will head on west to see Grandma. Daughter will return home with her boyfriend who thinks he ought to get to know us. Then she will be off to college and then son off to Army Basic training.

Then quiet again. Well sort of. The school year will then start and we know that means the fall routine for Pastor's.

So, if I don't post much, that is why. I will be checking in, but feel it will be good to spend time with the kids during the short time they will be around.

I will also be a bit scarce for the first couple of weeks next month. We are heading to TX on Aug 2. I won't be back in Indiana until Aug. 17. I will take my computer with me, but don't know how much opportunity I will have to come here.

I love Ft. Worth and have some fond memories of a convention in the revived downtown a few years ago.

Fort Worth is a cute little city. The most fun though is Cow Town which is on the North end of Downtown. It has the feel of a western town at the turn of the 20th century. They have a cattle run every day and all kinds of kitsch shops.

I guess we are also making a trip to Six Flags in Arlington. Should be fun.

Just got back from running errands with my daughter. Important things like car insurance, updating her license, groceries. I now plan on a nap and doing laundry and cleaning for company this weekend.

It is in the 80's here, sunny and slightly humid.

We just got back from seeing the new Harry Potter film. VERY different from the book, although you get the same ending. It's just weird the way the director/writers/etc... decided to make so many changes. I know the condensing was needed, but an important aspect that was in the book was cut out...and needed to be in there for the last film (although the writers probably weren't aware of it because the last book just came out this past weekend).

JK rowling approves every script -- in fact, the writer & director were going to leave kreacher out & she told them he had to be in...

i was finished by 3:30 on saturday afternoon...other than the character i mentioned, there are a couple who could have been in it (and weren't) that will be fairly important in 7, but they have been introduced before...
