Oh, definitely! Don't you find it more than a bit amusing that my pastor just happens to be called out town for a few weeks, one of being when a certain other LCMS pastor will be in town and all this is revealed openly during the pastor's address after the benediction today?
Everyone is thrilled that we will not have to go without communion for almost a month now, but Rev has to work on his vacation.

My main concern is not having my normal preparation time to prepare a sermon since I'll be on the road all that week. I do not want to disappoint.
But I'll get it done. I've done multiple sermons before. Sometimes I do my best work under pressure.

The 15 month went home last night, the 7 yr old is still here, I got sleep last night but I still feel tired...VBS starts today.

Some of the schools aren't even out for summer here as of yet.

Yes it started today, I wish they would have kept the orignal date of next week but they wouldn't listen to me. Lots of people are picnicing and out of town and stuff. I told them it wasn't a good idea. We got have the kids last year and the mood is different, the pastor got down to their level and had the kids really excited, this lady is leading the opening and closing this year and she's talking to them like they are adults and they were bored.
