Good morning, y'all
I have arrived safely home following my whirlwind tour of the southwestern portion of the continent.
Do you have a tan like George Hamilton?
Did you drink lots of beer?
I use that same word for the short name for refrigerator. But it's a bad-word in Queen's English. *laughs* So, try "fridge" instead. That's what I've learned to do.i always wonder what words are on the "potty mouth list" lol, now i know to spell out all of refridgerator!!
Welcome home, Rev! Hope you had a fruitful and restful vacation. Glad you're back safe and sound.Good morning, y'all

We'll have to disagree on who distributes communion. The bible never says that only a pastor can do it. Again, it's the WORDS alone. Nothing the pastor does makes that wine or bread anything different.
It's the same thing with baptism. If I wanted to baptize my own baby after birth, using the water and the word, it's just as much a baptism as if the pastor did it.
I need to chime in here to correct an error (y'all know how I am)...
As for communion, the Lutheran Confessions make it very clear that no one is to administer the sacraments unless he be regularly called, that being the one who is called and ordained by God through the Church. This is based on the Biblical teaching of the Office of the Keys.
The exception being baptism in the case of an emergency when any baptized Christian can baptize.
Ok... back to your regularly scheduled "kitchen talk."
