How do you know that?

I doubt they have too many lighted vanities so my lack of makeup and attention to hairstyling would be enough of a deterrent even if they weren't. Everyone would be safe!

I poster this over in the Mature singles forum and I was just wondering what the ladies thoughts were on this. I'm thinking that there are some that wouldn't like this.

"One thing I have noticed about my generation is that we are not used to women that are on the defensive a lot. It's an attitude thing. For instance if I make a comment about how blue the sky is and some women comes back with "What makes you think the sky is blue?" or "How do you know that's blue and not opal?" or something like that. It almost sounds like they are too self conscious about not asking their opinion or that we don't think they are smart enough to answer. Like they have something to prove. I don't know what their reasoning is. It is just very uncomfortable to talk to some women now days. I've been "third degreeded" by women before and it's easier for a guy just to forget about it than waste time in a relationship that would be stressful. "

They're hiding something and in reality are not at ease with themselves. Women like that are likely looking to be "rescued" by a man on some level or they want to be in control of EVERYTHING including a man.

Run far, run fast. Those kinda women is nuffin but trouble!

OK thanks-----I really wasn't trying to be controversial when I posted that and I just truly wanted to find out why some acted that way.

What brought that on was one ladies comment on me misinterpreting what she said and she came on "gang busters" with me. Another reason is I have a very good lady friend that I have know for 20+ years and an avid liberal. When I get to a point in an explanation/argument she resorts to the "defensive" act even though she is college educated and very smart. It seems to me that her knowledge base isn't adequate in that area and she almost gets mean. Sounds like a defense mechanism to discredit me or anyone else.

Rad, let me tell you that there are a handful of people who make me want to retort in the very fashion you've written to just about every comment made. For me, when that happens, it's just a personality clash. Some people know how to push my buttons...but only a select few can do it repeatedly without saying much at all

Well, I am off in a little bit to take an exchange student to the airport, 3 hours away. Then I have the weekend to get ready for my vacation which I leave for on Monday, returning the next Monday. I am so ready to board that plane Tuesday morning for 3 hours of nothing to do (oh and the rest of the week too in sunny Florida).
