I taught a six hour seminar yesterday for two LCMS churches. Excellent time. But I was very tired. Then I only slept less than three hours last night. I am now officially exhausted.

The good news? I fly to Denver then take a shuttle to Estes Park for our National Youth Gathering. I can sleep the entire trip.

Is that at Estes Park every year?

I don't remember what cheese I used - and I'm too lazy to get up and check. I'm rather in a cranky mood tonight. :sorry:

LMAO! Welcome to the Grumpy Club!

Gosh, I just got a nasty-gram from the accounting department. My subscription is running out. And I quote;

YIKES!

LMAO! Welcome to the Grumpy Club!

This nasty heat and humidity is a killer for the fibro. I might be grumpy a few more days. :|

The peppers were really good. Hubby loved them. I'm still too lazy to check on the cheese. But I will sometime today. :)

Oops, sorry about that.:sorry: I forgot about your fibro.:o I suppose any radical change would affect it. Weather service says it'll go on for a while longer. Wish you could visit here for a week. The temps are supposed to be pleasant for the next week and beautiful weather in the bargin.:) It's strange... kind of like Spring just forgot to segue into Summer. June weather in July, go figure. Hopefully it doesn't result in Summer with a vengence in August. All the same, I'm thankful for the water and comfortable temps.:)

Thought I'd post this here. My husband had a brain stem stroke over the weekend and thankfully got through it pretty good considering. The bad news is that he has a 30% chance of another one w/in 5 years that could well kill him. He's home now and we're sorting out all the short-term disability and PT and doc visits. Plus it's 100 or better outside with humidities to match.

And, found a 2' garter snake in my bathtub. I had dh stand by with a shovel in case I couldn't capture it (which I did and relocated him back outside). We guess it crawled in the clean-out pipe outside that's in the ground. The bathtub is the first drain you would come to. So, went outside and sure enough, the tile was pushed aside with a hole big enough for the snake to make it's way in through. I covered it with some filter cloth and re-set the tile cover and put a big piece of slate over the whole thing.

It's been a rough road but we hope things will smooth out and get back to normal. We were so blessed to not have any more serious damage. Just his speech and left side were affected. His speech took a few days to get normal and his gait is improving daily. I was amazed to see the difference day to day.

I would love to visit California. I may with my friend sometime. Her whole family lives out there. The last time I was in California, I was 2 1/2yrs old. I do remember tiny snippets of our trip - believe it or not.

My cheese was a blend of Monterrey Jack and cheddar. I finally checked.

I hope his recovery is swift. What a scary thing - and a snake too!

Mary, my wife was a great fan of Adele(sp?) Davis, the nutrition expert. Robin had a brain stem injury (fell off a horse), an epidural hematoma. The doctors were insistant that it would never clear and Robin would have motor-sensory damage for the rest of her life.

Having followed Mrs. Davis' nutrition advice in her books, Robin went in for a follow-up catscan six months later and the hematoma was gone. The Doctors were completely flummoxed. They'd never seen such a thing. Look into the holistic approach with your husband (if he's willing to cooperate), and you might find an improvement on his part. Who knows but that the Lord will grant you more time together? If not, at least the both of you will be healthier. Besides, you'll be together in the end result anyway.;)
