Only 9 more days? I have a feeling that the time will drag by and then it will go very fast.

time is already going very fast - once he gets here, i'm going to blink and he'll be gone....that's when the lamenting is REALLY gonna start happening.....

but for now - it's nothing but excitement and happiness and my heart going completely bonkers!!

mel, how far apart are you guys? how long have you been together?

this 2000 mile commute is absolutely for the birds......
However far it is from Florida (where I am) to either St. Louis (where he goes to school) or DC (where he lives). A few thousand miles.

We've been doing the long-distance thing for almost 2 years now, with one more year to go. It sucks.

Ah...yeah, I was pretty nervous the first time we met in person. :) Obviously, it worked out pretty well. ;)

Things are all relative Tomo. I know it won't be long until I also complain of a fix on a car that I won't want to be making either.

boy do I sympathise with that! We just replaced the motor in Paula's Toyota with a motor from a junk yard because she couldn't afford the over three thousand for a new one (core, or short block), and the junk motor is already starting to lose coolant. I'm praying it's a bad hose somewhere...

Do you folks mean Non-Denominational by Nonde? If so, consider the source and ignore the idiot. That's why he's in with the group he is.

i don't know that it's nerves, so much as sheer excitement.....it feels like we've known each other our whole lives.....

heh - he's gonna come in here and read all this and go "good grief..... "

We were funny about it...we never communicated using any medium but IM until we actually met in person. Made it a little more awkward. :p

Yes Stude, that is what I mean. I have this tendency to shorten things that maybe I shouldn't. This guy butted in where he had no business and seems to be crying foul now. Geesh  He took his side to his forum and continues it there.

yeah, I found him. Oi. What a yutz. I'm no better than you Sis, I couldn't help answering the fellow either. I'm gonna get banned yet... I really must exercise more dicipline and stay out of the G.F.

Mel and Mum, I suppose Revrand also, I don't envy you. At the same time I do envy you highly. That doesn't sound like much sense, yet it does in a way. I don't envy the long distance relationship, they infinitely difficult. Yet, at least you have someone, an enviable position indeed.:sigh:

It took me 22 years. The Lord works in His own time.

Ah, the two romances of TCL. We are all enjoying hearing about them.

Mel, when is it you two are planning the wedding?
May 26, 2012. Got the church and reception hall booked, and we've started premarital counseling. I've given him the task of contacting caterers, since he's in DC for a couple weeks, but that's not really happening. Men...:p

I get the biggest kick out of George's dogs. Tasha was sitting by the cold fireplace and crying that she's cold. When I asked, "Oh, what already??" She ran over nudged me with her nose and did the same to the fireplace. Then did it a second time as if to say, "the fire's out and I'm cold," then sat by the fireplace looking pitiful. So, I've got to light a fire for the dogs. Are they spoiled or what (LOL)?^_^
