Our munchkin didn't put in the hour a day review I suggested this past week for her physics advanced qual. final and when she came home this morning, her mood made it clear she thought she might well have done worse than she should have.
She's already qualified for her university prep courses (called sixth-form here), but still. Had she aced all her science and math qualification exams, her vet school application would have been that much less of a worry. At least she has two years to develop more discipline, buy oy!

All that we can hope is that they learn these now rather than trying to get away this kind of nonsense at university.

Well, it has been quite a week for me. Summer semester started on Monday and I am having to retake a class. Kind of not happy about it and the appeals went against me. OTOH, this group of people are not so intense and not so competitive. This sets me back two months on graduating.

In other news, I rolled my car on Tuesday morning on the way to class. I was reaching for my sunglasses and veered off the edge of the road and over corrected. Lost control and ended up in the field. I was a tad more than a mile from my house. Lots of deep nasty bruises and scratches. Got checked out and nothing broken.

Going to spend a quiet weekend here.

I got my car serviced today - oil change, air filters, fuel filter. I'm quite certain that they overcharged me, but my dad isn't around to do it for me (and I don't have the equipment or the time to try and figure out how to do it myself). Oh well, I still managed to talk down the price by about $70.

I couldn't resist and looked at TheGospelIsOffensives thread in the Nonde forum. I even had to reply. Ooops, my bad.

I am very sore and fatigued right now and am taking the weekend to do very little. I am taking fewer pain meds right now with is good.

The car talk reminds me of when I took my now departed car to a dealer for recall work. Daughter had taken hers (same car) in in the morning and they called her wanting her permission to do more. Once she mentioned she would need to discuss it with her husband, they stopped pushing. We left my car for the recall and I told them that they were to only do the recall and don't need to call me about anything else. Guess what? they called me. I told them that my husband will take care of anything else when I returned home. Guess they thought they could get me to bite. Boy were they wrong.
