Wow, the comic sans discussion is still going on. Just let people use what font they want on here. In the greater scheme of things, what difference does it make? None really. Yes, there are times where certain fonts are not appropriate, but I don't think this forum is one of them. Also, most people are not going to delve into why a font was developed or what using a font means, they use the font because they like it.

Well, I suppose if you want to shut people up when they talk about their interests, profession and areas of expertise, then fine... But if we should just let people use what ever font they want, then shouldn't we also let people talk about fonts if that is what interests them?

Maybe the default/only font for CF should be comic sans

Quilt...I only mentioned WHY I didn't like it because alexnbethmom asked. Yea it may not bother most people but it's the scorn of the design industry so every time I see it I have to get past looking at something that is distasteful (from a design perspective) because it's being used for something it wasn't designed for.

It was the reason the topic was brought up that's the problem. It was meant as derogatory, or at least was taken as derogatory. If you want to talk about fonts, start a thread. Those who wish to read and comment can do so. Those who don't can avoid the thread. This is supposed to be a fellowship thread.

This is the first post (on page 6, btw) regarding comic sans. Then there was the post calling it infantile which also carries the message that a person using it is infantile.

I guess I should leave the kitchen until a different topic comes up. Just wondering why the topic has started on page 6, and still going on page 9.

But, never mind me, it seems like I don't belong in the fellowship threads anymore. Guess I don't belong here anymore at all anymore. Guess that those of us who don't see it as an issue can't say so either.

Good grief. There is no point in posting anything anymore. I'm sorry...I don't like to feel like I'm walking on thin ice with everything thing I write and that's how it's getting.

Seriously. Stude asked if he was boring us and I said no to the story...but the font bores me. Not specifically because "he's" using it. Because it exists.

The weather has been a bit odd here lately. We got a few drops of rain yesterday. I'm going to put the orchids out again today as it was just a touch too cold for them a few nights ago. It's about time I also tilled the garden and put in the tomatoes. It's time the beans went in as well. Hopefully, this light rain continues through June or July. If the latter, then YIPPIE, it'll be a good summer around here.

If not, buckle up... it's gonna be another hot, dry, dangerous fire season.

I took the girls on two walks yesterday. One to the highway (about two and a half miles round trip in a straight line, which I don't do), and another short one just along the upper road. The trees are now falling that were damaged in the fire two years ago. It's choking up the road with debris as they drag rocks and other jetsam down with them. That's okay though as the neighbor won't let us use the road when it passes onto his property and all that fallen timber is great firewood. I need to climb over the ridge and have a look-see at the really big trees and see if they're still standing. The longer they stand the better it is for the wood. I still have a faint hope of being able to put it to use.

I missed the lillies and most of the wildflowers down by the creek this year. By the look of things they bloomed in April or early March when it was raining so much. Ah well, it was still a beautiful walkabout anyway.

Nothing else to report here in beautiful downtown Fawn Lodge. I do hope everyone has a great day!
