i pray you don't implode......or explode.......or something equally messy..... ^_^

as far as blue lips, i know mouth-to-mouth..... ;)

Thanks for that. . .

Although it is important to note that Altitude sickness can set in as low as 8,000 feet.

Although there doesn't seem to be great risk to life until 15,000 feet. . . So he'll probably live. Probably.

which part, the blowing up or the mouth-to-mouth? ^_^

and you're welcome....

The mouth to mouth. . . I know he won't explode.

I was actually reading up the other day on hypoxia and the effects of high altitudes and I found out you don't actually explode in a vaccum. Although I will spare you from the details of what does actually happen.

The funny thing is the reason I was looking that up is that I was curious as to if a aircraft experienced decompression how long one would have to either find a source of oxygen or reset the Autopilot altittude to a flight level low enough at which one might be able to breath.

As long as you let Rev have a few days to adjust to your altitude before going higher, he should be okay. Headache, shortness of breath, fatigue, euphoria and nausea are earlier symptoms of hypoxia. Stopping at places on the way up and on the way down should help lessen the effects.

How many more days? How long will he be there?

Actually I watched a documentry by a Brit who suggested that the most humane way to put someone to death (for crimes) was hypoxia as they would experience Euphoria before they die.

Then he had a bunch of Americans tell him that he was missing the point of the death penalty entirely.

It must be very exciting to you.

Do me a favor don't get shy on him. My first date with my wife was horrible because I would try to ask her about stuff and get one word answers. . . you've got to give a guy something to work with!!!

My wife was so shy at the time, that at the airport her mom hugged me before she did. Her mom is not shy. . . her mom is the opposite of shy.

Wonder why? :p

Ya know - tried as they might - my teachers would put me next to the most shy and quiet kids in school, but it never deterred me one bit. There was this one kid named John, that turned red if you even looked at him. My teacher thought he had me by putting me on the end of the row with John. But, alas, even John got yelled at for talking when sitting with me. :holy: That was surely a first for him. This was in 8th grade by the way, at a WELS school. Finally the teacher just wrote on my report card. "Love her jovial spirit." :sorry:

Yeah, those in the media here miss a great many such points. They've picked up on the EU idea of the criminals' civil rights being more important than those of victims and the general public.

He hasn't had to talk much yet - maybe in our next 30yrs we will trade. :D

Don't do it! I have a list of things I wish my hubby had never shared with me. Some others, I've mercifully forgotten.

Leave well enough alone, Ang. ^_^

i honestly don't think either of us will have that problem - most likely he'll be paying me a quarter to shut me up.....^_^

we talk for HOURS every single night, and still find umpteen things to talk about, run over the top of each other trying to say something, and stall for 1/2 an hour at the end of the night thinking up other things to say so we don't have to say good night - i don't think shyness is gonna be a problem, LOLOL.....

and QA - i'm sorry, i forgot to answer, he'll be here for 10 days....he goes back the 15th.....

And then there's the kids who I'm sure will do their share of ear bending whilst I'm there.

And in other news, just an FYI, the "offensive" video was deleted.

Well, that just is not right. If it had been posted in the ND forum, I could see it, but a Lutheran posting it in the Lutheran forum, no way.

Here again, the mods don't seem to think that we can express our opinions in our forum. GRRRRRRRR
