CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I said some things in the Wels/LCMS differences thread but I erased them because I was just wasting my time. People are going to do what they are going to do, I cannot change what people desire to do. Im going to stay out of it.

Well it looks like the hornets I evicted from the pine tree on the driveway have moved to the side of the shop. LOL, they've set up shop at the shop!
I know, boo-hiss, LOL. It's amazing how fast the little buggers can build a nest. They've not stung me yet, but I get a lot of warnings. They'll fly up and bump me. I suppose it's their version of a slap. The nest has sentinals all over the brush and trees for a hundred feet all round it. I have to deal with this. Not looking forward to it either.

I'm all set for NaNo this year (National Novel Writing Month). Last year I successfully wrote 50k words in the month of November.

My dream is to have a book published some day. I've written 4 chapters in 3 years! I'm a pretty pokey writer, I guess, or lazy.

I am trying to finish the prequel before I query (and the other one is done). I want to get published through an agent. This year's NaNo is completely different than what I've written before so I'm kind of excited. Usually I am straight fantasy but this is urban sci-fi fantasy.

I've written a few short stories. My problem is grammar and punctuation. Got into a big fight on Mugglenet about some stories of mine there. Those people are really ANTI-Christian. I'm better off away from there anyway. One of the stories, they said was a great travelogue and not enough story, LOL! In fact, one of the people who live in England said that I wrote about Hereford as if I'd lived there. Sorry, no.
Right now story writing takes too much time and has no benefit (for me that is). Sad really... but there you have it.

Take a bucket of water, preferably hot from the tap and mix ina really generous amount of dish soap. Get up close to the nest so you can accuartely through the soapy water on them. If you used enough soap they won't even be able to fly and they will die quickly. The soap breaks down there skeletal body. If you have to use a second or 3rd dose. This works on hornets, wasps and bees, of course I wouldn't kill a bee, they is pretty

The Lutheran church where my parents go, the pastor that was pastor there for something like 35 yrs, retired back a few years ago, still went to churches that needed a pastor until he got put in the hospital like a week or so ago, he passed away this morning. He was a wonderful pastor and person. He's going to be missed.

Nano allows you to write memoirs, scripts, and non-fiction so you can do just fine with a travelogue
