Come to find out, they were waiting because the staff had to go to the back of the store to actually roast the coffee beans for them, cool them off, then shrink wrap. Needless to say the coffee loving family members who got some of our coffee beans really really liked it.

Now that's service! One would have thought that one of the Hubbys would have at least come out and told you what the delay was. All that coffee must have been interesting going through customs though.;):p

We only had 2 bags and we claimed it. No one in Minneapolis questioned anything. Maybe it helped that our customs agent was originally from Guam and adopted by a mainland family as a child, and was just thrilled for us. He spent more time asking us questions about our process than going through our paperwork. Thank God, because that line was over an hour long and we were wondering if we would make our last flight to home.

We have a friend here from Eritrea, and when her parents (all are US citizens) go to Ethiopia to visit relatives, they bring back bags of Teff, which is a flour used to make injera, their bread/silverware. It's white and powdery. They always have all kinds of fun going through customs. ^_^

Well, today, we started implementing "Operation Overhaul" We have lived here 11 years and it is time to sort through everything, give away, send home with kids, or get rid of. We have a long ways to go, but today's work gained us trash and Goodwill items. We think we know a place to take used books where we will get a small price for them too.

It is going to be a long process and one that I hope we are able to keep up with when things get busy. Our house needs this thorough going through.

If you can have chicken and the very minimal breading that goes on them, then the nuggets are easy to make.

Schilling makes some excellent herb mixes or there's also Mrs. Dash. I like the garlic and herb mix.

Use one teaspoon to a cup of seasoned breadcrumbs (check the label for fat contents). It takes about a cup of mix for each two breasts.

cut boneless Chicken breasts up in one-and-a-half inch (or so) cubes.

Now, one can do this a variety of ways. Personally, I prefer egg whites as a sticky solution. They're lo-cal and also low fat. Dump the Chicken cubes into your solution (weather it be non-fat milk, egg whites, olive oil, whatever). Make sure they're well coated. Pull them out (preferrably with tongs) and put them in a bowl.

Using a gallon zip-lock bag, put your seasoned breading into it and then the Chicken Cubes. Order is important to keep the breading on the Chicken and off the bag. Zip it shut with as much air in it as possible. Inflating it is permissable.;):p

Shake well with a gentle rolling motion.

Put a baker's cooling rack on a cookie sheet. Put the chicken on the rack using tongs.

bake at 350 degrees for twenty to thirty minutes. Keep an eye on them because they burn quickly.

Voila! Chicken nuggets without the fat from deep frying. If you're on a diet, well... you can't have as many. However, these should'nt be quite the forbidden fruit as the Mc Nuggets are.;) They taste better too! ^_^

Well Sis, may the skys be clear,
The roads dry,
and all the idiots at home!;):p^_^

I hope it's a great trip!

My parents drove my sister up to her new college in Binghamton New York. Shes about to start her doctorate program up there in women's history. I feel bad for her because I heard Binghamton is not the best place to live, and she'll probably have to live there for 5 years. Have any of you been there?

I haven't been there. Why is Binghamton not the best place to live? Is it dangerous or something?

I heard theres nothing to do up there(just alot of trees lol), the depression rates are high, and it never gets nice. The weather is cloudy everyday. My sister applied for alot of schools and they all turned her down besides this one. She wanted to stay at Umass Amherst but they told her that they didnt think they had what she needs up there.
