  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Things to consider about the Ten Commandments

What does the bible say about the Ten commandments

  • It is abolished for christians

  • Cristians should keep the Ten Commandments, not to be saved but because they are saved.

  • Jesus kept the Ten commandments so I don't have to keep it.

  • It was for Israel only and not part of the new covenant.

  • Don't know.

  • Don't care.

  • Christians should only keep some of the Ten Commandments

Again that is not biblical. Acts 15:
20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
Here we see that the Gentles are not to consume blood as was required by the Jews. In Acts 10 we also see that Peter is still abstaining from unclean meats and in Genesis we see that they were clean and unclean animals long before there were Jews. Gen. 7: And the Lord said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation. 2Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.
3 Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth.
The other came in twos. Obviously the clean being more would have been eaten still leaving enough to reproduce but the unclean in twos would not be eaten or that would have been the end of them.
Your position is being revealed to be more and more incompatible with scripture.
What exactly does living like a Gentile mean? And wh did Peter suddenly refuse to eat with them when the boys from Jerusalem came to visit?

Sound right to you?
Oh what positions we take to defend the untenable idea that the Ten commandments are not for Christians.
The same Christian that says that God is His only God.
That says he should not steal.
That says he should not commit adultery.
That says he should not covet.
That says he should not take the name of the Lord in vain.
That says he should bow to images in worship or make them.
That says he should not lie.
Wait a minute!!!
That is the Ten commandments!!!!!
Please note he does the things of the Ten commandments but they are not applicable to him. Oh yes, he does then but he does not keep them.
Oh what a tangle web we weave!

I do believe. I absolutely believe in the truth and in God's holy word which rejects any idea of the cancellation of His holy law.
How can any right thinking person expect that Jesus Would nullify the very commandments that He is part of, by virtue of being of the same "mine" of the Father? After He said that He did not come to change it!
The most blatant object that is even found in the very first command: Serve God only. Tell us how do get that as the will of God to have it removed? Tell us.
Only when you throw out the parts of the Bible you don't want to believe. Your argument is a house of cards the slightest breeze blows over.

This is the ides that is coming through. Rather than accept the principles of righteous living to be the will of God for Christians, we would change the bible and it's message first.
You never recognized the Messiah, nor what He did in His redemption - the very reason you could not respond to my questions. The basic tenets of Adventism mandate compliance with the old covenant as requisite to earn 'salvation', and this is what you're left with. And as we all know, "principles of righteous living" isn't compliance. That isn't even the tenor the Mosaic covenant was given in when declared to the recipients, and you've already 'changed' the Bible to re-write this covenant that wasn't even given to you as a Gentile living in Barbados.

Hi I'm ........,

I don't believe that All Scripture, including the “OT” (at the time of writing THE ONLY Scripture around) is good for teaching, reproof, correction and training in righteousness for Christians.

I don’t believe that the Christian man should live by EVERY Word of God (including the “OT”).

I don’t believe Jesus’ clear words that heaven and earth must first pass away before even the smallest stroke of the Law of God passes away.

I don’t believe that sin is the transgression of the Law, and believe that sin can be defined outside of God’s will and Word.

I don’t believe that the Holy Spirit leads the Christian in ALL TRUTH, and not just on partial truth of the “NT”.

I don’t believe that the Law of God is Truth, Spiritual, Righteous, Holy or Good for the Christian.

I don’t believe that Christians should obey the Law of God.

I don’t believe that all of the commandments of God were given so Christians could correctly love God and love their neighbors.

I don’t believe that Christians should meditate on the Law of God day and night.

I believe that Christians are allowed to do anything that isn’t explicitly repeated in the “NT”.

I don’t believe that the Law of God, being the very Words of God, should have any value or place in my life as a Christian.

I don’t believe Paul, when he tells us that by no means do we make void the Law of God by our coming to faith, but rather we establish it.

I don’t believe that those who have been justified are doers of the Law.

I believe that it's ok for me to profane the Holy Sabbath day of God.

Why would I take you seriously?

Is the reason you've a holy Bible is because it full of holes from cutting out passages?

Grace = no obedience is actually bologna---atleast that’s what Yeshua taught.

15. "Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
16. "You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they?
17. "So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit.
18. "A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit.
19. "Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
20. "So then, you will know them by their fruits.
21. "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.
22. "Many will say to Me on that day, `Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?'
23. "And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from me, you who practice Lawlessness.'
24. "Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock.
25. "And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.
26. "Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.
27. "The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell--and great was its fall."
28. When Jesus had finished these words, the crowds were amazed at His teaching;

Work out your salvation with fear and trembling scratch!

Don't stand on the 'grace' sideline. DO God's will!
Yes and you'll know them by their legalism, long Missouri mule faces and condemning attitude about everyone else. You'll know them because they can't participate in society in any way. You'll know them by their fear.
