Yes they do.
'Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.' Gal. 3:24,25
'But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses...Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.' Acts 15:5,10,11
We are no longer under it for it was a yoke of bondage.
I think they have no concept of the spirit at all, scriptures equating it are always connected to the Law when one cannot see how in spirit you can ever keep the Sabbath Day to begin with it takes the flesh to participate one can keep a "sabbath rest" in the spirit but the spirit doesn't work akin to the Sabbath Day understanding so it really isn't participating in the rest part of it at all.
Have you read LK 24:44 which allows for Heb 7:12? Evidently heaven and earth have passed away because the law changed. If this isn't true then your argument fails or Jesus is a sinner and can't be the promised Messiah.
Romans 7 says you are wrong.Legalists do not even have a gospel. There is no good news in law keeping.
OK I have it all wrong.Paul wrote plainly to the Jewish believers in Rome that they're delivered from the Ten Commandments. He also instructed the Gentiles in Galatia to cast off the Ten Commandments. These are plain statements that you can't reconcile your beliefs with.
Moses wrote plainly that the Ten Commandments was the covenant from Mount Sinai. We refer to it as the Mosaic Covenant or the old covenant commonly. On the other hand, you show that you don't know what the Ten Commandments was each time you refer to it by the plural verb 'are'; it is a singular covenant, and even Solomon refers to the tablets of stone as the covenant God handed to Moses. The Biblical authors knew what the Ten Commandments was, and you've already shown that you rejected the epistles to the Romans and the Galatians in your previous posts.
Telling me that you're confused and can't make sense of the Bible just reenforces the points that I've made to you. And still you have done nothing to rectify your contradiction with yourself, as well as Scripture. I promise to remember this each time you make the absurd claim that the Ten Commandments was a product of man, and not God. I further promise to remember how you dismiss God's redemption as "an unholy and unbiblical gospel".
It shows that you do not understand that which Paul has said about the law. Yet want everone to believe that you do.Then how does it kill? That doesn't sound like life to me.
Telling me that you have it all wrong doesn't explain why you immediately disobey God's instruction to cast off the bondwoman and run back to it again. Perhaps the answer lies in the flippant comments you added to the bondwoman:OK I have it all wrong.Paul wrote plainly to the Jewish believers in Rome that they're delivered from the Ten Commandments. You run to the bondwoman for its prohibition against adultery among humans. But then you excuse idolatry and adultery with the Living God.Abolished! Did you not read where God said it was OK to make idols? Whats wrong with bowing down to them any way? Keeping us restricted all the time in bonds.So...
You rejected Romans 7 where Paul explains that being bound to the Law and Jesus concurrently is akin to adultery, we have been delivered from the Ten Commandments that held the recipients in the past tense, and you aren't aware of the larger context that includes the Law working wrath and excluding those bound by it from eternal life.
Thou shalt not commit adultery. Is this not bonds again? Why can't you have a little affair?
Same event is in Mat 19. Are you attempting to say that salvation can be had without Jesus by the law? According to John 10 that would make Jesus a lair. What about Luke 18:18-20?
Yes and the New Testament shows over and over eternal life doesn't come by the law or the keeping of the law including the context you take your proof text from.Do you want eternal life? Luke 18:18-20
My guess is you don't like life and accept what Jesus did for you. Most unfortunate. The law will find you wanting and unqualified come judgment day. Jesus said your righteousness must exceed that of the scribes and Pharisees. How did they attain their righteousness Jesus called wickedness? Why by the law of course. How then can one attain the righteousness that exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees? Romans says its the free gift of God. One can't earn a free gift. Anything earned is obligation and the wages is death. This righteousness God requires comes only from God by declaration.Luke 18:18-20
Doesn't relate to the question and statement quoted. The law isn't the Gospel.Romans 7 says you are wrong.
12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
Then explain to your ignorance (me) just how this life giving law kills. Seems you and some others claim one can have eternal life by keeping the law. You claim to do this while flagrantly and willfully violating the main bone of contention every week.Originally Posted by Elder 111 You don't understand! 9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
10 and the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.
11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.
Romans 7 says you are wrong.

Nice of you to cut off the total passage midstream (again) so that you don't have to do ALL that Jesus commanded here. I bet you haven't sold everything you have and are not following Jesus around because... in a sense you can't do this. This is a specific command to a specific person not made to everyone otherwise we would all be doomed as Jesus isn't here in his physical body for us to follow around.Do you want eternal life? Luke 18:18-20
Excuse me! What happen to my question? Please explain you non response!Telling me that you have it all wrong doesn't explain why you immediately disobey God's instruction to cast off the bondwoman and run back to it again. Perhaps the answer lies in the flippant comments you added to the bondwoman:
You run to the bondwoman for its prohibition against adultery among humans. But then you excuse idolatry and adultery with the Living God.
You have it all wrong, all right.
Idolatry to the created thing was the very reason the bronze serpent Moses erected was taken down, and this lesson was lost on you when you make the Mosaic covenant an idol to grovel before.
And...
Reminding you again of how Romans 3:8 condemns those who resort to flippant remarks identical to yours has already shown a long track record of failure with you.
One can not violate these and get to heaven! True or faults? Then explain to your ignorance (me) just how this life giving law kills. Seems you and some others claim one can have eternal life by keeping the law. You claim to do this while flagrantly and willfully violating the main bone of contention every week.
So the liars, thieves and adulterers continued to do the same acts in the presents of Christ?Yes, the law is holy but you are a sinner and can never keep it. If you even think for one moment you can keep it you have graduated to the highest form of sin which is legalism. Legalists are so disgusting and blind that they were the #1 enemies of Jesus Christ. The liars and thieves and adulterers gladly accepted the message of Christ and received his righteousness by faith not by law.
False, absolutely false one CAN violate the Law and get to heaven otherwise heaven is all but empty forever and you, yourself are banned from being there. One can not violate these and get to heaven! True or faults?
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
7 Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
13 Thou shalt not kill.
14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.
15 Thou shalt not steal.
16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.
As human beings we often/very often break these which has the penalty of death. It is that simply.
So by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit we keep the law which is life but in the flesh we sin and have death as the result.
24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
You cannot expect others to believe you haven't seen my response.Excuse me! What happen to my question? Please explain you non response!
