Drug commercials on TV that say in the end.....may cause naseau, blindness, stomach cramps, heavy breathing, diarheaa, sore feet, muscle spasms, erectile dysfunction, itchiness, pregnancy, and a tendency to like Lawrence Welk music. See your doctor before taking it. :D

Things I can't stand about people...Well...I kind of like people as a rule. So here are some ungodly things that people do, that the Bible says not to do, that I find hard to deal with.

Arrogance
Calousness
Belittling
Short temperdness
Violence
Misogyny
Prejudice
Rudeness
Duplicity
Deception
Evil Speaking
Gossiping
Disrespect for parents
Being a fool (and thinking it's cool)
Taking advantage
Being self centered
Boasting
Being mean.

Things I love about people:
To balance out the negativity.

When someone is inclined to act out on any of the above...and makes a conscious effort not to.
Humility
Caring
Kindness
Consideration
Patience
Temperance
Honesty
Honoring your parents
Being an encouragment
Having a sweet spirit
Not reacting to someone who's acting out, in kind
Trying to do the right thing
Tring to learn what you don't know
Being open
Smiling when you don't feel like it
Caring about others more than you care about yourself
Not dwelling on every little negative thing that you're going through. aka sucking the air out of the room.
Giving
Integrity
Character
Honor
Deferance
Respect
Compassion

People who sit next to you, with their loud children, or their loud friends, talking loud, laughing loud, bumping into you, stepping on your feet, tripping over you, whiping little jelly smeared (or something worse smeared) hands on your nice clean cloths "by accident"... WHEN YOUR IN A WAITING ROOM, SITTING THERE, MINDING YOUR OWN BUISNESS, BOOK IN HAND... READING!.

But, I don't say anything. I take a deap breath. I practice good Christian self talk. "Be nice...smile and be nice" And then I smile and I engage them in pleasant conversation. And then they move across the room? A girl could take it personally. :D

People are funny. Just to watch what they do...what they try to get away with...how they try to play, "let's see who's the more agressive"... I could so write a book about the sublanguage of social behavior. :D

Speaking of sublanguage - and not to hijack this thread, I can't hijack my own plane if I'm the pilot ;) - my family will be vacationing in California in a couple of weeks.

In the midst of looking into San Francisco hotels, the term "joie de vivre boutique hotel" has come up, but not hotels in LA, San Diego, or Las Vegas. I know what the French means, "joy of living", but what does it actually mean in context? These "joie de vivre boutique hotels" have bright colours and tropical flavours. I'm guessing their either party hotels or 'gay-friendly' hotels. Do you know and am I off? Thanks for indulging me.

Now back to our regularly scheduled programming..... :D

I lived several hundred miles south, in L.A. county. ;)

But, according to what I was able to gleen from the internet, "Joie de vivre boutique hotels" is a brand name, like Hilton.

I hate when people think being condescending is clever.

Really cracks me up when I tell someone something, because get this...I read! And they put me down thinking it's going to put me in my place. Yeah right! I know I don't know everything dude! If you want me to back down, you've got to try something a little better than that! :D

I wish I could remember who said this. But, it's a great quote nonetheless.... "To belittle is to be little" :D Isn't that great? And so true. People who have to put other people down, to boost their sense of importance, are severely lacking in self esteem.

In a nutshell....Condescending people suck! :D (I'm in a twelve step program for this myself. :D ;) )
