  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The Bible is clear that Moses and Elijah, among others, were approved. You might know and recall how Moses and Elijah appeared speaking with Jesus, on the Mount of Transfiguration.

I think of how Jesus also uses the word "all" elsewhere >

"'Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.'" (Matthew 11:28-30)

Feed on and trust all which Jesus means, here, please :) God is able to change any and all people so we can have rest in our souls, in personal and tender sharing with Jesus. Jesus can give us almighty protection against any and all cruel things which would mess us inside ourselves and make us weak and desperate to seek pleasures in order to feel something nicer. Instead, we can be with Jesus in His love and how He has us pleasing our Father while we love any and all people.

It is good to get all the meanings of "all" right ! ! !

John 10:8
All who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not listened to them.

As mentioned before, it's about those claiming to be Messiah.

It's a good example of why when reading the Bible, it's necessary to follow the narrative of the story line. Otherwise by viewing a short statement on it's own can sometimes be misleading.

John 10:8

In context according to John 10:1, it means anyone who assumes authority in the Word without Christ's approval. In other words, Christ did not "opened the door" for them.

These people would either be deceived by the enemy (Satan) or assumed authority by means of education or other worldly means (man-made standards) and also deceived by Satan.

What are the chances the Jews have been following the devil before Christ came - John 8:44.
