  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

How would you like it if a bunch of homosexual therapists tried to make you homosexual, claiming they were helping you and it was for your own good?

Just curious.

By the way, I'm fine if a homosexual wants to become straight. They shouldn't have to be forced to because of public pressure and discrimination against them, which is what sadly happens today. It's abominable sometimes.

Maybe if the homosexual community wouldn't suppress such groups and hate them,, more people would come out .. There are many ex-homosexual men who said that the lifestyle is not what people think it is and can lead someone easily to destruction..

shows that there is no gay gene, and that it is mostly environmental factors and CAN be helped..
No it doesn't. It was only claimed that it has an "environmental" genesis. And while some homosexuals may be helped, no evidence was provided for the therapy's success. For all we know Rob's therapy may be only helpful in a small percentage of the people who go through it, and they may be closer to bisexual than full blown homosexuals. We simply don't know. What we DO know is that therapy has been pretty unsuccessful in changing sexual orientation.

Ah, because a YouTube clip of a US news bulletin (CNN, no less) is more than enough to change my mind. Praise Jesus!

Seriously, have you not heard of science?

I also love how Richard Cohen (sp.) claims that not having the ability to turn heterosexual is a form of discrimination.

Oh, and 4:03 made me lol. "Here, you know what'll cure your homosexuality? Totally manly hugs." Why not just get him into the sauna and have done with it?

The problem is not the homosexuality itself, but rather the ridiculous stigma associated with it.

I had to LOL reading that.

In honesty, there's nothing wrong with homosexuals choosing to live straight as much as there is nothing wrong with heterosexuals choosing to live gay (if they wanted). But forcing them: ridiculous.

I love the double-standard: you're a champion of human rights and freedoms when it comes from an anti-gay stance, but you vhemently oppose pro-gay rights and freedoms.

You know I find it interesting how the gay community seems to support all its community, but whenever someone comes out and talks about the things that they don't want to be heard, they immediatly insult and ridicule them.. Why is the gay community so nervous about people who have left their lifestyle??..

its interesting to note that people who claim to be ex-gay aren't really ex-gay, they are just denying their feelings or pretending they are not gay
but funny that they never admit to liking women instead of men, just that they have stopped having sex with men
also funny is every "ex-gay" seems to be payed to talk about being ex-gay, if you look up information about them

If gays have a problem when their members jump ship then that obviously shows something..
well of course.. people don't want that stigma that the group has, every disliked group has people that would rather be suck-ups to the haters than to be hated too

Yes, because all gay people behave that way.

Could it be because the whole "You can change!" propaganda has been espoused for decades without any statistical significance?
Could it be that this is just another result of the homophobic side of US society? After all, they've come up with such gems as "AIDS is God's cure for homosexuality!", and "Fаgs Eat Feces = Scat", so why not "Stop forcing people to be gay!"?

There is no such thing as cure for gays. It's like curing African American from being black. Homosexuality is as natural as any other genetic traits. You think people want to be social outcasts, you think they like being treated like a dirt.

There is help for gays. If they would get through that brick wall of denial they put up they can get help and live wonderful lives (married with a woman they love and with children)

Really? Cuz, I could do with some more money. Can you give me financial support? Technically, this would count as 'help for gays'.

Yes, because closet cases aren't in denial at all
